NEET UG Counselling 2024 Likely from the Third Week of July 2024

New Delhi: The NEET UG 2024 Counselling process is expected to start in the third week of July 2024. Earlier, the counselling process was scheduled to start on July 06, 2024. However, it was delayed due to the non-finalisation of number of seats offered across participating colleges for NEET UG 2024.

National Medical Commission (NMC) will finalise the seat matrix for NEET UG 2024 by the third week of July 2024 and the seat matrix for NEET PG 2024 by mid-August 2024. Once the seats are confirmed, MCC will announce the counselling schedule for NEET PG 2024 and NEET UG 2024.

Candidates with a valid score in the NEET 2024 can check the official notification regarding the counselling schedule on the official website at mcc.nic.in. The counselling process will include registration, choice filling, payment of application fee, document uploading, seat allotment and report at allotted institutes to confirm admission.

Supreme Court Hearing on NEET UG 2024 Irregularities

The Supreme Court of India will hear petitions filed regarding irregularities in NEET UG 2024 on July 08, 2024. The case will be heard by a bench led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud and Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra. They will address a total of 38 petitions.

Earlier, the Supreme Court refused to delay the counselling process for NEET UG 2024. The exam authority (NTA) informed that the counselling will commence as per the schedule on July 06, 2024. The NEET UG 2024 Re-test results were declared on June 23, 2024, in which the number of toppers was reduced from 67 to 61.
