    NEET Seat Intake/ Matrix 2020 will be available soon at the official portal of MCC (mcc.nic.in). Having replaced AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER, NEET is now the only medical exam offering admissions to more than 75,000 MBBS seats and 25,000 BDS seats across the country.

    • NEET Resultwill be applicable for admissions to all medical colleges of India. Based on the result, NTA formulates NEET Merit List which is used by colleges to allot seats to students.
    • After that candidates need to participate in the NEET Counselling process. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will now participate in 15% All India Quota Counselling and candidates don’t need to submit a self-declaration form anymore.

    NEET Merit List will also be used to allot seats in veterinary colleges for undergraduate courses like BVSc. and Animal Husbandry under 15% All India Quota. Read the article to know more about the seat matrix of all the states. 

      NEET 2020 Seat Matrix

      First of all, NTA will create the merit list based on the result of candidates. The merit list created by NTA will then be used by all the colleges to release there own category wise cut off list. 

      • Seat allocation is done based on the rank, score and cut off decided by the participating colleges. 
      • Moreover, the institute allotted to the candidates based n the choices filled by the candidates during the time of online counselling process. 
      • For admission into UG courses in AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy), students must appear for NEET. 
      • The government has also increased MBBS and BDS seats after the implementation of EWS quota.

      Ques. Can Foreign Nationals apply for NEET? What is the eligibility requirement?

      Ans. Yes, Foreign National can apply for NEET 2020. Students applying as Foreign Nationals must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English in Class XII with 50% marks, as per regulations of the Medical Council of India and the concerned University.

      Ques. Who can appear in NEET for 15% All India Quota Seats?

      Ans. Candidates from the following categories can apply for NEET-

      • Indian Nationals
      • Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)
      • Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs)
      • Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)
      • Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET UG for 15% All India Quota Seats.

      Ques. If a candidate is opting Oriya as a medium of question paper, would he be eligible for 15% All India Quota?

      Ans. Candidates qualifying NEET would be eligible for All India Quota and other quotas under the State Governments/Institutes, irrespective of the medium in which the examination is taken by a candidate, subject to other eligibility criteria.

      Hi Aayusha, Nepali student can also apply for NEET exam but just not eligible for Government seats. The minimum qualification for appearing in NEET-UG for candidates of Foreign Nationals are same as for Indians.
