Shiv Nadar University Chennai to begin BE, BTech Admission from April 2021; Details Here

Shiv Nadar University (SNU) Chennai will commence the admission process for its specialized courses in Engineering and Commerce disciplines from April 2021.

Shiv Nadar Foundation had launched SNU Chennai as its second facility after Shiv Nadar University (SNU) Greater Noida. The varsity’s main focus will be on innovation, research, creativity, development, and academic excellence.

Shiv Nadar University (SNU) School of Engineering will offer undergraduate programs for the duration of four years; while School of Commerce and Management will be offering curated programs in Bachelor of Commerce.

SNU Admission 2021: Highlights

SNU Chennai’s School of Engineering undergraduate program will have specialized courses in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Computer Science and Engineering domains. Check SNU Chennai’s School of Engineering, Commerce and Management highlights in the table below: 

Varsity’s School of Commerce and Management B.Com program will offer a wide range of academic courses in the analytical and financial domains. The professional accounting programs will prepare students for professional courses such as CA, CWA, CMA.

Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of HCL Technologies and trustee of the Shiv Nadar Foundation said that the foundation launched the varsity in Chennai after receiving an overwhelming response from SNU Greater Noida students and her parents.

She further added that Shiv Nadar University (SNU) Chennai will be a global institution encouraging new research, novel discoveries, and creating new forms of expression.

R Srinivasan, Chairman of SSN College of Engineering, will be the Chancellor of SNU Chennai. He stated that varsity will focus on student’s holistic development through an approach that will blend academic rigor, research culture, and sustained industry engagement.

Srinivasan, who is also the founder of Redington India, mentioned that SNU Chennai will begin with two schools namely Engineering and Commerce & Management. However, the varsity’s 5 years aim is to expand its courses and establish a law school.

Shiv Nadar University (SNU) Chennai is the first private varsity to be legislated in Tamil Nadu after more than 90 years after Annamalai University (AU) Chidambaram was constitutionalized.
