Candidates admitted through JoSAA, CSAB, CCMT and CCMN must report between August 18 and August 22, 2026. SMVDU 2026-27 Reporting Schedule
| Admission Route | Reporting Window |
| All programmes except JoSAA, CSAB, CCMT and CCMN | August 5 to August 14, 2026 |
| JoSAA, CSAB, CCMT and CCMN | August 18 to August 22, 2026 |
Which Candidates Report in Each Window?
The first reporting window covers candidates admitted through SMVDU’s own counselling process. This includes UG admissions handled directly by the university, PG streams and Ph.D. entrants for the odd semester of AY 2026-27. These candidates must complete on-campus reporting between August 5 and August 14, 2026.
The second reporting window is meant for candidates joining engineering seats through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). It also covers postgraduate technical seats allotted through the Centralised Counselling for M.Tech (CCMT) and Centralised Counselling for M.Sc./M.Sc.-Ph.D. (CCMN). Their reporting will take place from August 18 to August 22, 2026.

How to Report at SMVDU for AY 2026-27?
Reporting must be completed in person at the SMVDU campus in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. Candidates must carry their allotment letter, original academic documents, category certificate, where applicable, and fee payment proof. The exact document checklist is provided in the official notification on the SMVDU admissions portal.
Candidates should reach the campus within their assigned reporting window. Late reporting may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat. Applicants are advised to plan their travel and accommodation in Katra according to the reporting dates.

Separate windows for central counselling routes prevent clashes with JoSAA and CSAB seat allotment rounds. Students who upgrade seats in later JoSAA rounds get enough time to report at SMVDU without missing deadlines elsewhere.
