The government of Tripura has decided to reopen the educational institutions in the state in a phased manner from December 1, 2020.

The State Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath confirmed the reopening of schools and colleges and mentioned that full-fledged classes will be conducted for students in a phased manner.

Mr. Nath announced in the official report that they have decided to reopen the Tripura schools and all government degree Tripura colleges from December 1, 2020.

The final decision will be taken after monitoring the prevailing COVID 19 situation in the state, he said.

Mr. Nath said to the media persons that the decision regarding the reopening of educational institutions was taken at a meeting held at the state secretariat on November 10, 2020.

Tripura Schools and Colleges Reopening: General Guidelines to be followed

According to the Guidelines issued by the Central Government, the government of Tripura has announced that the parent's consent letter is mandatory. All the educational institutions to allow students to visit the campus only with the parent's consent.

All the Tripura schools and colleges were asked to make sure that all the safety precautionary guidelines have been followed including social distancing and hand sanitization.

Vice-Chancellors of Tripura Central University and Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) University emphasized on adopting online learning as the preferred mode of education.

Mr. Nath also stated that the final decision regarding the reopening of Tripura schools will be taken after the meeting which is scheduled to be held on November 27, 2020.

Tripura Schools and Colleges Reopening: COVID Guidelines To Be Followed

UK Chakma, the Education Director of Tripura stated that all educational institutions will be opened following the COVID guidelines and precautionary measures.

All the schools and Tripura colleges have been requested to follow the necessary guidelines strictly to avoid any chance of coronavirus infection and spread.
