The state government of Odisha has decided that schools in the state should not be reopened till December 31.
The Odisha Government on November 7 said that Odisha schools in the state will not be permitted to reopen for the rest of the year because of the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic.

The state government took the decision with the concern of the second wave of COVID 19 pandemic that might hit the country in mid-December 2020.
Meanwhile, The Odisha government has allowed exam evaluation and administrative activities and online classes of the Odisha schools.
The teaching and non-teaching staff would be called to visit schools for taking online Odisha schools classes from the school premises and Tele counselling students who are outside the containment zones.
