The Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) Ranchi has opened Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) admissions for the 2027-29 batch on its official portal at xiss.ac.in. Eligible candidates can now register online for the two-year programme.
XISS offers four PGDM specialisations under one flagship programme. These are Human Resource Management, Rural Management, Marketing Management, and Financial Management. The institute is AICTE-approved and recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as MBA-equivalent.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Candidates need a bachelor's degree with a minimum 50 percent aggregate. The relaxed cut-off for SC and ST applicants stands at 45 percent. Students awaiting final-year results in 2027 may also apply provisionally.
Provisional candidates must submit their passing certificates by the stated deadline. Admission remains conditional on meeting the final mark requirement.
Which Entrance Exams Does XISS Accept?
XISS Ranchi accepts scores from three national-level management entrance tests. These are the Common Admission Test (CAT), the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), and the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). Candidates must hold a valid scorecard from any one of these exams.

What Is the Application Fee?
Candidates pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 2000. An additional 18 percent GST applies on this amount. Payment is accepted only through online modes on the admission portal.
Each Aadhaar card permits only one application per cycle. The chosen specialisation cannot be changed after fee payment.
XISS Ranchi PGDM Programme Fee
The previous 2026-28 batch carried a total programme fee of Rs 12,05,500. This covered tuition and other heads across both years. The fee for the 2027-29 batch has not yet been confirmed by the institute.
