Chemical Engineering is an enjoyable course, only if you are interested in it. The seniors here are involved in a variety of things. Because of their skills, they have been able to bag some really good placements and some of them have even got into really good colleges for their Masters. A lot depends on your attitude towards that particular subject and your communication skills. You should have leadership qualities.

Do all the students who score more than the BITSAT cutoff marks get into BITS Pilani, or does rank also play a role in the selection process?
To be eligible for admission at BITS Pilani, you will first have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria. After that, you are eligible to sit for the BITSAT examination.
Each year a certain cut-off mark is decided depending on the number of students appearing and the difficulty of the questions. Once you get a score above the cut-off marks, you will be eligible to sit for the counselling process. This is where the actual selection takes place.
You will be asked to give your preference for campus and engineering specialization. There will be multiple rounds of counselling after which you will be allocated your seat at one of the campuses and your engineering major based on your marks and preference list. If you do not like the campus or your major, then you can opt for the next round of counselling to get your preferred campus and major.

IIM Ranchi cutoff 2024 will be as per the CAP 2024. The CAP 2024 cutoff has increased from the previous year and this year the overall cutoff is 94 percentile and the sectional cutoff is 73 percentile for PI shortlisting.

What are the best hostels to stay for the students who study at NIRMA Institute of Technology?
My cousin completed his B.Tech from Nirma Institute of Technology who stayed in the community hostel named Saurashtra Kadva Patel Samaj situated in Gandhinagar. However, he had friends from various hostels, and here is his insight about the hostels.
Hiramani: This is the most liberal hostel for students in terms of rules and timings. You can return late at night and can indulge in typical hostelling activities like playing LAN games, watching movies on the laptop, etc, as long as you aren’t disturbing others. However, many students complain about the bad quality of mess food.
SGVP: It is a gurukul of Swaminarayan, thus making it quite religious and strict in terms of rules and decorum. Honestly, if you belong to a religion other than Hinduism then you might feel uncomfortable at times. However, the food quality is one of the best as they provide really healthy and tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner. The biggest drawback of this hostel is that there are no doors in the room hence no privacy at all.
Also, check out the following restrictions you have to face if you live in SGVP.
- You have to wake up by 6:30, take a bath, do Pooja and assemble for prayer in the evening and return to the hostel before 10:00 pm.
- You are not allowed to make noise by playing loud games.
- You can not watch any objectionable things on your laptop, because the rector can barge into the room at any time.
- If you break any rule you will have to pay a fine.
Saurashtra Kadva Patel Samaj: Here, my cousin chose to live for 2 years out of his B.Tech journey. The hostel was neat and clean and fees were just 20000 for a year, however, the food was just satisfactory.
Overall, it is highly recommended for freshers to join SGVP because of cleanliness, great food, and discipline. But, if you have budget constraints, the fees might seem high. Nevertheless, it is worth the fees.

One of my friends is a student of NLSIU and here is his advice on how to prepare for CLAT.
- You can take a year break to prepare for it or blend your routine in a perfect balance to prepare for it along with your studies. Assign flexible time hours to your CLAT preparation. You should follow a very strict schedule when it comes to the preparation of CLAT.
- Pursuing an online course while studying in any institute for cracking CLAT might be helpful.
- Remember to invest equal hours in preparation for all the questions you will be attempting. Your hold on English should be strong. Do not forget to practice reasoning every day.
- Updating your general knowledge and current affairs regularly is also necessary.
With strategic planning, you can do well in CLAT.

There are two ways to get admission at Vasavi College of Engineering:
- Convenor quota: 70% of seats come under this category and the fee is 1.6 lakhs per year
- B-CAT: The remaining 30% of seats are filled through this.
In B-CAT, 15% of the seats are for JEE Main qualified students and 15% of seats are for NRI students. The merit list for the students applying through NRI sponsored is prepared as per their IPE marks. The fee under this category is 5000USD. This amount is to be paid by an NRI student to the college.
