Is BIT Mesra a tier-1 college?
Yes, BIT Mesra is considered a tier-1 college. It has an excellent placement record. According to the recent highlights of BIT Mesra placements, students received an average CTC of INR 10 LPA. The placement is especially good for circuital branches. Every year almost more than 100 companies visit the placement drive.
How are placements at Hindustan university?
As a student of Hindustan University, I will be presenting the ground reality of placements at my institution.
For tech placements, mass recruiters like Infosys and Tech Mahindra visit the campus and recruit graduating students in large numbers. Other than them, BPO and KPO based companies present job offers. These job profiles aren’t at par with an engineering degree. For branches like mechanical, civil, automobile, aerospace, aeronautical, etc., no core companies visit the campus.
Thus, the placement scenario isn’t good at Hindustan University. I would recommend you rather join CSE at K.C.G. college of engineering, which is a Hindustan Group college. It has the same placement scenario, but at least a more affordable fee structure.
Can I take up a distance MBA course from Madras university in Chennai Is it worth the money?
It’s not a good idea to do a distance MBA from Madras University. It will not add much value to your profile. Rather than doing a distance MBA, you can consider doing some short courses in advanced Excel, or SQL, that will help you enhance your skills.
If you are thinking of pursuing an MBA degree, it's better to do a regular one with good placement opportunities.
Is it true that Amity University is more about showing off and having a good time with friends than studying?
This is certainly not the case. Just like any other university, you need to put in the effort to do well in academics and secure decent scores at Amity University. There are also strict rules in place for attendance. Students need to maintain at least 75% attendance in all subjects. If you want a decent CGPA, you will be busy attending lectures and studying for it.
Which is better HITK Kolkata or IIEST Shibpur??
Being one of the oldest engineering colleges in India, IIEST Shibpur is known for its legendary status, well-equipped campus, and a thorough specialization across more than 48 courses. Is IMI Kolkata a good college in terms of ROI and placement?
IMI Kolkata started in the year 2010 and attained accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation in the year 2017. Campus placements also shot up in the year 2014 with 100% of the students getting placed with one or the other major organizations.
Last three years’ data highlights that the brand image that IMI has built over the years is paying off and many big names visit IMI Kolkata despite it being a young B-School. IMI K has an average package of 10.45 LPA with 13% increase from the earlier batch. The total fee for the PGDM course is around 13 Lakhs which gives you an average ROI for a tier 3 college.
Which is better for CSE, NIT Warangal or Surathkal?
In my opinion, if you are getting a top NIT, then choosing CSE will be a better decision unless you are interested in any other specific branch. As far as comparing the CSE branch in Warangal and Surathkal, both offer similar opportunities and academic experience.
Given all the similarities, choosing one between these two NITs depends more on your personal choices such as proximity to home and crowd. If you are from the home state of Karnataka choose Surathkal but if you are from the home state of Warangal, choose NIT Warangal.
I would recommend you to go for NIT Warangal as it has better opportunities if you are inclined towards research. The alumni base is huge and there is even an innovation garage where the ideas of students are implemented.
What are the pros and cons of IIT Kanpur?

- Sports: You can find every sports facility here. The sports facilities are top-notch.
- Extracurriculars: IIT Kanpur focuses on the holistic development of students and thus offers a wide range of extracurricular activities going on inside the campus.
- Campus life: The campus is huge and has many unique features like an Airstrip to Open Air Theatre.
- Hostel: IIT Kanpur has well-maintained and equipped hostel rooms and even the food served is good. The hostel rooms are spacious and because of the huge campus, the rooms are not crowded like other IITs.
Cons:
- Location: Because of its location, IIT Kanpur needs help in terms of companies visiting for placements.
- Exploration: IIT Kanpur has few places to explore outside the campus.
- Academics: There is an extremely high academic workload and students hardly get time to get involved in other activities.
Despite a few flaws, IIT Kanpur is one of the best IITs and you will never regret joining it!
Which is better for CSE, NIT Warangal, or Surathkal?
Both NIT Surathkal and Warangal are one of the prestigious colleges in India for Engineering. Both of them provide a B.Tech. degree in Computer Science. Both have been established at almost the same time. NIRF has ranked NIT Warangal and NIT Surathkal 13 and 19 positions respectively for BTech.
Admission: Both the NITs take admission through JEE Mains for BTech in CSE. The total course fee for BTech at the institute is 5.32 lakhs and 5.39 lakhs for NIT Warangal and NIT Surathkal respectively. The closing cutoff rank for CSE in 2019 at these institutes are as follows.
