Which college is better, NIT, Surathkal or BITS, Hyderabad? Why?
BITS Hyderabad is a private college. On the other hand, NIT Surathkal is a government college. So it won’t be correct to compare the two. Both have their own pros and cons.
I am listing below the strengths of each-
- NIT Surathkal-
- It has affordable fees which are much lower than BITS colleges.
- It has a strong alumni network as it was established in 1960. The alumni network of BITS colleges is quite strong too.
- It is situated in the beautiful western ghats and has a private beach of its own.
- The campus life is great. There are good extracurricular facilities.
- BITS Hyderabad
- As it is a private college, it has better infrastructure and faculty than NITK.
- It has a better hostel and mess facility.
- The peer groups are better at BITS Hyderabad. This is because it admits students purely on a merit basis.
- There is no minimum attendance criteria at BITS Hyderabad.
Both the colleges are well-renowned. You can choose either of them for your higher studies, based on your personal preferences.
Which is better Nirma university or LD?
It entirely depends on your future plan. If you can afford Nirma and don’t have any plan to pursue further studies after B.Tech then go for Nirma University.
However, if you want to pursue higher education, and you have confidence that you can learn on your own, then LD will definitely be a better choice.
LD gives its students a lot of freedom to work on their interests while maintaining their CGPA which plays a huge amount of role in further studies.
The other factor that is crucial is the alumni of the college. LD College alumni network is huge and a lot of notable alumni are based in both India and abroad. When talking about alumni, Nirma stands no chance as LD was established way before Nirma.

How hard is it to get into Aligarh Muslim University (B.tech)?
Aligarh Muslim University is one of the most reputed universities in the nation. Its overall NIRF ranking is 17 for the year 2020. It has a well recognized and felicitated team of faculty members who groom aspiring engineers to the standard of the leading organizations in the market.
The admission into the seven specialisations under the BTech programme is done through the Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Examination (AMUEEE).

- Basic concepts of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics must be clear
- Thorough with class 10th to 12th NCERT books

If one is a studious person and practices sincerely for the test then it is not tough to crack it. While attempting the test one must be focused, and be able to manage time properly and be smart in approach. As the seats are limited and aspirants are in thousands one has to prepare really well in order to get admission to his or her preferred branch. Take as many mock-tests as possible to enhance your skills and manage time efficiently and the hardwork will pay off definitely.
Many reputed companies like TCS, Accenture, Infosys, IBM, JK Techno soft, HCL, Wipro, Bharti Telesoft and PSU's which include ONGC, IOCL, NPCIL participate in the recruitment drives. Over the years, the average placement rate has been over 60% with the average package at offer being between 4-7LPA. The statistics denote that for the computer science and electronics branch the placement rate has been higher, mostly over 75%.
Is there any attendance issue in Hansraj College DU?
No, there is no attendance issue at Hansraj College. Attendance carries 5 marks in internal marks. But most of the students do not pay much attention to it.
They feel it is better to enjoy your campus life than secure the 5 marks because it could also be scored at the end of semesters which ultimately balances it out.
What is the syllabus for a BA in English Hons for IGNOU?
IGNOU uses a credit system, and in order to get an Hons, a student must have 48 credits in that subject, which means taking 6 papers of 8 credits over the course of three years.

Which one is better: IIT Roorkee or IIT BHU?
For undergraduate courses, the comparison between IIT BHU and IIT Roorkee is kind of pointless. Since both institutes are well-reputed institutes. The faculty base and facilities offered to students for undergraduate courses are almost similar. The required cutoff for admission at both institutes is almost the same.
Although in terms of placement IIT BHU is a little ahead of IIT Roorkee.
How are placements of Ch. Brahm Prakash Government Engineering College?
Placements are not great here at Ch. Brahm Prakash Government Engineering College. If you are planning on securing admission, you need to study hard as well as be good at coding. My advice to you would be to try securing an off-campus placement.
Up till 2017, the student’s opinion was that the placements here are in the negatives or almost close to zero. However, during that period the administration had not taken enough effort to ensure that students are placed.
Now that the principal has changed, the scenario has definitely improved quite a bit. Although keeping in mind that the college is relatively new, the placements have not drastically improved.
- The highest package offered to students in the year 2018-2019 was about INR 4 lakhs per annum in the IT branch and about INR 6 lakhs per annum for the civil branch.
- The rest of the branches received a salary of INR 3.6 to 3 lakhs per annum.
- If you are looking for extremely high pay like that offered at IITs, you should probably rethink your decision of going here.
- The placement scenario is definitely improving but it is not as good as you would expect it to be.
The students of the civil engineering branch are getting trained by reputed government agencies and aptitude tests for placements. You can expect to get placed in this case. However, as far as IT is concerned, you will have to get a letter signed by the authorities and find your own internship and job. Here, you can think of focusing on your coding skills or as mentioned in the job skills required and prepare for the same.

Trust me when I say there is no fixed order of preference for branches. The choice of branches is a very subjective matter and depends solely on your inclinations and future prospects.
Choosing a branch just because it has good opportunities and everyone is running for it does not mean it will be the perfect one for you. I have seen many students take CSE just because of the hype and then regret it later as they realize they have no interest in coding. I will suggest
- Go for core branches like electrical and Civil if you aren’t sure of your interest and just want to land a stable government job.
- Go for easy and light branches like chemistry if you are willing to pursue MBA.
- Go for CSE or ECE, if your only goal is getting high packages in top companies.
So my personal preference order looks like this.
CSE>Software>IT>ECE >Electrical >EIC>Civil>Chemical>Biotechnology

Is the academic schedule at AIIMS Bhubaneswar hectic? Can an average student cope up with it?
Yes, the academic schedule at AIIMS Bhubaneswar is quite hectic and an average student may find it challenging to cope with the rigor. The first year witnesses weekly tests which consist of theory exams, vivas, and practical exams. However, these definitely ensure the academic growth of students.
Except on the third Monday of the month, you have to give 3 exams of 3 subjects every Monday. Additionally, there are the semester exams and pre-profs, and if you score 50% or above in the internals you are eligible for Professionals also.
A typical day for students at AIIMS Bhubaneswar starts from 8 in the morning till 5 in the evening and on weekdays there are field visits, Odia classes, English classes, Computer classes, and many more.
Apart from studies, AIIMS Bhubaneswar students also party and enjoy their weekends exploring the city in addition to the fun activities organized in the college itself.
