Which is tougher - the AFCAT or SSC CGL?
Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Exam conducted in order to recruit applicants for Group B and Group C roles in different Government of India departments. AFCAT stands for Airforce Common Admission Test and is a test that is only taken by Airforce to select young boys and girls, and after selection candidates are scrutinized by SSB Interview.

Exam Pattern:
AFCAT:
The AFCAT exam consists of a single paper that includes English, GA, mathematics, and reasoning, with a total of 100 questions which are to be completed within 2 hours.

The SSC CGL exam is divided into 4 segments, Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, Tier IV. Tier I encompasses General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language & comprehension.

- Flight: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is the nearest airport to IIEST. After landing there, you can take a taxi from the airport to reach IIEST.
- Train: There are two train stations, Sealdah Railway Station, and Howrah Railway Station. After arriving at either train station, you can take a bus from there to reach IIEST. You can take a minibus in red and yellow color from Howrah Railway Station.
- Bus: If you are thinking of arriving by bus you have to change buses to arrive at the IIEST. Usually, the bus route is not the favored one, you can take other means of transport to arrive at the destination.
Therefore, the route of IIEST is quite easy to reach. It is recommended, if you are asking any local about IIEST, then ask for B.E College instead of IIEST. The institute has two gates, if you are coming from the bus then get down to the first one and take a cab from there.
What should I take, electrical engineering at IIT Delhi or CSE at BITS Pilani?
IIT Delhi and BITS Pilani are two highly reputed institutions for engineering studies in India. I am a second year B.Tech Electrical student at IIT Delhi. During my time, I was faced with a similar dilemma. But I ended up choosing IIT Delhi over BITS Pilani for my studies.
I would recommend you choose Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi over CSE at BITS Pilani because of these reasons:
- Brand Value: IIT Delhi carries the prestigious “IIT'' tag which holds more brand value than the “BITS Pilani'' tag. This will become important to you when applying to foreign universities for your higher education.
- Fees: As a government institution, the fees of IIT Delhi is much more affordable as compared to BITS Pilani. This in turn, gives IIT Delhi a higher position in ROI (Return on Investment) because it offers even better placements.

How good is the new IIM Ahmedabad business analytics course? Please provide your views on whether one should enroll in it.
IIM Ahmedabad ePGD in Advance Business Analytics is a newly launched program by the b-school. The program is a perfect blend of tools and techniques for data visualization and modeling. The duration is for 16 months and ePGD admission is entrance based followed by an interview round.
As for the review, I am not sharing my own, but of a friend who recently completed this course. She considered the program to be very good but a bit on the expensive side. Let's break down the review into common aspects
- Placements: The placement percentage of this program is approximately 4% with the highest package offered around 85 LPA, the lowest salary package offered being 11 LPA. The top roles offered are relationship manager, business analyst, and area sales manager.
- Infrastructure: The entire campus is wifi-enables and has all the top-notch faculties one could ask for. Every classroom is fully air-conditioned and has modern teaching aids. You can access databases and journal websites through the online portal of the library. The accommodation facilities are also world-class.
- Faculty: IIM Ahmedabad has the highest qualified faculty pool that don't limit their teaching to classrooms only but rather engages in dynamic talk to ensure the holistic development of students.
Overall, the IIM Ahmedabad campus is superb and the excellent academic environment made choosing the Analytics program a great choice.
Which is better, NIET, ABES Engineering College or GL Bajaj?
NIET is an A Grade college that receives more than 100 companies each year including Tata Consultancy Services; Vivo Smartphones; Voltas Limited and Nestle.
In 2019, 7 students were recruited by Centylitics at an average payment of INR 5.5 LPA at ABES Engineering College; and more than 245 students were recruited by 10 companies including BYJU's and Traveloka.

SRM Ghaziabad vs SRM Sonepat for CSE — these are two newer SRM campuses (not SRM Kattankulathur main), and the comparison matters.
SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonepat (Haryana):
- Established 2013. NAAC B+ accredited. Affiliated to its own university status (SRM University Delhi-NCR).
- Placement: ~65-70% BTech. Average CSE: ~4.5-6 LPA. Companies: Infosys, TCS, HCL, Wipro, Cognizant primarily.
- Location: Sonepat, Haryana — close to Delhi NCR, accessible for internships.
- Fees: ~?1.8-2.2L/year.
SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ghaziabad (Modinagar):
- Note: "SRM Ghaziabad" could refer to different entities — there's SRM affiliated AICTE institution in Modinagar. NOT the same as SRM University.
