People think NIT Agarpara is a National Institute of Technology but actually, it is Narula Institute of Technology, a TIER 5 Private Engineering College.

One of my friends got passed out from this college and I would like to share his experience with you.

• Getting admission to the institute is not that tough. They do conduct an entrance test but it is quite easy.
• He told me that, the faculty of the CS department was quite helpful but can’t say the same about other departments’ faculty. Language can be a barrier if you do not know Bengali.
• Further, the placement in CS/IT industry was decent and many got placed including my friend with an approximate initial package of 3 LPA in the service-based industry.

It is pretty much an average college in all other regards. So, this was all the data from my side about Narula Institute of Technology, Agarpara. I hope you got some clarification about the college. At last, it is all upon you to choose.

My cousin used to be a student of EMPI Business School and her experience had been a remarkable one. She was part of many teams and a number of different projects. Her team had to engage in interactions with different people and getting acquainted with how they worked.

The management of the institute is excellent and the faculty lives up to its brand name. The alumni network is huge and it offers their support for enriching the experience of learning.

The infrastructure of EMPI is amazing according to my cousin. The students are provided verified certification from IBM which is instrumental in bagging placements. Needless to say, the labs also have equipment from IBM.

During my cousin’s tenure as a student of the institute, the cost of education was around 7.5 lakhs. If you compare it with other institutes, the fee for PGDM is much lower. The average package of EMPI is around 7-8 lakhs.

The students also get to be a part of training which is led by industry professionals. The exhibitions conducted by the institute can provide huge exposure for the students from various industries.

IIT Mandi M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with an Energy System specialization has a good reputation. Only Mechanical or Production undergraduates are allowed to apply for this course. The curriculum has fundamental Mechanical engineering courses like Energy sources, Design & Energy systems, Mechanics of Energy systems, Modelling & Simulation, CFD, etc. 

The faculties are great. If you are passionate about research, you will get support from them. IIT Mandi gives an option to pursue M.Tech thesis in TU 9 German Universities of Technology. You will need a pointer over 8.5-9 to get the opportunity. Students from this branch get admission in IISc, IIT B, IIT KGP, etc. for Ph.D. 

My sister is pursuing MPH from IIPH and the University of Hyderabad. She is going to graduate in April of 2022. MPH in both Manipal and IIPH is structured in the same manner.

Here are the advantages of IIPH though:

• IIPH has is a public health organization and it aims towards public health only.
• Most of the IIPH professors are serving as guest faculty of Manipal too. You can assume the quality of education these professors offer.
• IIPH courses are cost-effective too when you compare them to Manipal's.
• You will discover brilliant Faculty members at IIPH like the esteemed epidemiologist Dr. Raghupathy Achla; Dr. Rajan Shukla of Health Policy and Dr. Nand Kishore Kannuri.
• If you compare IIPH's faculty with any other institute's, then only TISS gets the upper hand.

As for working abroad, there are good chances but if you plan to work for India, then be aware of the ground realities because it's very different. The placement rate is about 80% but if you have the requisite skills then you should not worry at all.

• Students are taught through live projects which include Infrastructure Verticals such as Roads & Bridges, Ports, Urban infrastructure, Real Estate, Airports, Power, etc. If you are interested in Infrastructure Management, then AIIM is a good option. 

PGDM in Law:

• It has one of the unique course-work in which business learning is aligned with infrastructure dynamics which also includes law and regulatory prospects. 
• The program helps to provide exposure to Infrastructure Policy & Governance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Cyber Laws, Economic Offences, Taxation, etc. 

Faculty: As per student reviews, the faculty at AIIM is reputed and has good experience in Infrastructure and Law. 

Course-work:

• In the first year, the students learn through live projects, site visits, case discussion, analysis, and summer internships. 
• In the 2nd year, the course-work is more about the electives.

Placements:

• The students are offered an average CTC of INR 7.5 LPA whereas the highest CTC was 12.5 LPA. 
• The average placement record is 100% and students are recruited by top companies including ADANI, TATA, Reliance.

AIIM focuses on practical knowledge combined with excellent teaching. This enhances the learning for students. Overall for a PGDM in Infrastructure Management, AIIM is a good option.

There are no ‘best’ branches as the primary purpose of diverse branches is to cater to diverse interests. One branch may be good for you but not for someone else and vice versa. 

Faculty-wise, the Civil Engineering department is the best followed by Mechanical. ECE and EE also have good faculty strength. 

On the basis of coding culture, CSE has the most talented students.

From the above table it can be inferred that the highest number of students were placed from the ECE branch followed by the CSE branch.
