  • 3 students were selected by Visa Steels Ltd with a package of INR 10 lakhs per annum.

• Placement Drive by INFOSYS:
  • This drive was conducted for students of B. Tech and B.E programs by Infosys.
  • All training was provided to students with online tests, HR rounds as well as technical interviews.
  • 107 students were selected by the company with a package of INR 3.5 lakhs per annum.

• Placement drive for MBA – Supply chain and Logistics students (Safexpress):
  • The MBA batch of 2014-2016 secured 100% placements.
  • Most students were recruited to various multinational companies and were subject to meticulous training comprising of online tests, technical as well as HR interviews.
  • Students were offered a pay package between INR 2 lakhs to INR 4.50 lakhs per annum.

My friend belonged to the first graduating batch of IPM participants. Currently, he is well placed in a reputed company. Here are a few insights you need to know according to his experience back then.

• Most of his batchmates bagged offers from pioneer recruiters like Credit Suisse, Deloitte, Nomura, JP Morgan, HDFC, IndusInd Bank, IBM, ICRA Management Consulting, Tata Sky, UAE Exchange, etc.
• The batch received good feedback from the recruiters in the first placement season of IPM that was highly encouraging. A leading credit rating agency remarked, “We found the candidates to have a good understanding of concepts and confidence to face the demand of the corporate world.”
• Most of the students were offered a finance role with the average salary package being 11.96 LPA, including International offers such as EA to CFO & MD by a leading international foreign exchange company.

Overall, the placement record for the first batch of IPM was surprisingly great. With an average package of 11 LPA and the highest package of about 30 LPA, IPM of IIM was a huge success.

My brother is a student of MSIT at IIIT-H and the following points are his experience at the institute:

• This course is beneficial for people who already have an academic gap in their education. It is not advisable to enroll in this course if you have an IT background in your bachelor's degree; the same curriculum will be repeated with a shorter duration. 
• It is best not to attempt this course if you are already employed. It's better to put your efforts towards getting experience in that company.
• During the first phase of placements, you may have the opportunity to work for top IT companies such as Amazon, Salesforce, American Express, Apogee, and others. 
• If you are unable to break into those, you will eventually enter service-based companies.
• The highest package received by the students is 85 LPA while the average salary is 25 LPA during its recent placement package.

• The median salary offered to the students is 4 LPA.

• The top recruiting companies are Asian Paints, BASF India, Cipla, Exxon, HONEYWELL, DSM SOFT, etc.

Bombay College of Pharmacy:

The average salary package offered at the institute is 4.5 LPA.
