What are the chances of conversion at IIFT Delhi with 97.27??
WAT & GD: How you use these 3–4 weeks until the process starts will have a big impact on how well you do. In IIFT GD, everyone gets a chance to talk, and it lasts 30–40 minutes. So you can't blame the noise that people made during GD for keeping you from speaking.

Should I take CSE in KIIT or IEM, Kolkata?
I have a friend who scored a rank of 1536 in KIITEE and chose CSE in KIIT while another who got a rank of 4158 in WBJEE and went got IEM ECE.
What I mean is that the institute does not matter but it’s your capability and skills that determine your success rate. I find judging colleges based on placements very silly.
So, if your ultimate goal is BTech only then take any one between IEM and KIIT depending on your financial background but if you are planning to pursue higher education, IEM will help you save money that can later be used for higher studies.
Are there any droppers studying in JIPMER?
‘Dropper’ seems like an odd term to define someone.
I did have a roommate during my first year of MBBS at JIPMER who took a year drop after her 12th. During this time, she prepared well for her medical entrances. After a year, she cracked the JIPMER exam with an under 10 UR rank. After her college graduation, she went for her MS OBGY at AIIMS Delhi.
With hardwork and dedication, you’ll surely succeed in getting into JIPMER for your medical studies.
How was your first day in IIT Madras?
One of my friends is an alumnus of IIT Madras and here is his experience on the first day at the institute.
It was back in 2016. My friend was so excited that he reached the college two days before the assigned date. He missed the introduction part on the website of IIT M. On reaching the campus the security at the gate asked him to go to CCW which handles the hostel accommodation. As the undergraduates are supposed to come after two days. He didn’t get his accommodation that day.
He roamed around the campus with his parents and got to meet some students who came for master’s admission. They also got a place to stay for two days. Overall, it was a good experience for him.
What is the environment like for doing an MBBS in NEIGRIHMS, in Shillong? How's the study environment? Is it worth it to study there?
NEIGRIHMS is a central institute. It is the cleanest medical college in India. It has a good infrastructure which includes a cancer hospital and a state-of-the-art sports ground. The college auditorium is really impressive, and it has state-of-the-art lecture halls.
NEIGRIHMS offers all the basic amenities to its MBBS students. You’ll get more lectures and clinical postings than most state colleges. The patient load is high and they come with a variety of ailments. So you’ll get good clinical exposure. The faculty is friendly and dedicated. You can easily approach the teachers and residents for doubt-solving.
The mess food isn’t good. Also, the hostels near RMO aren’t in very good condition. These are two main drawbacks of the institute.
Overall, NEIGRIHMS is a good college for pursuing your MBBS.
How is the MSc in life sciences in NIT Rourkela?
The Life Sciences Department at NIT Rourkela has improved immensely and is growing at an impressive pace. Here are a few features of the department of Life Sciences at NIT Rourkela-
- The Life Sciences curriculum is improved and covers all the topics related to modern developments in this field.
- The department has a well equipped laboratory to facilitate research work.
- Research work at the department and at NIT Rourkela as a whole, is really good.

People have the misconception that basic sciences are not good at NIT R because it is a technical institute. This is not true at all. If you wish to go for research in Life Sciences, NIT Rourkela is a good option. Thus, an MSc. in Life Sciences from NIT Rourkela is a good choice.
Are there any differences in an MBBS (academics and hostel life) among the AIIMS, Delhi, and MAMC?
Here are a few points of differences between MBBS from AIIMS Delhi and MAMC
- The quality of education offered is definitely better at AIIMS Delhi because it accepts only the top 50 while MAMC accepts 250.
- The internship opportunities are better at MAMC than at AIIMS
- PG at MAMC is better than at AIIMS as the latter provided minimal clinical exposure; they.
- AIIMS has mostly rare cases and very less communicable diseases like typhoid, tuberculosis, malaria, and pneumonia in AIIMS.
- Most AIIMS students are sent to Safdarjung Hospital and there is capping on OPD patients as well. PGI Chandigarh is better as they don't shunt patients anywhere and keep all of them.
- Most AIIMS faculty do not belong to AIIMS and they are not much familiar with its technology while at MAMC you can manage most of the cases from the second or third year of your residency.
I feel at the DM level AIIMS is better but for cardio and gastro, MAMC is better. Ultimately the choice depends on your personal preferences.
