Can someone give an honest review about MBA from Welingkar, Mumbai, and PUMBA? Keeping in mind that I have a below-average profile until now and had a year drop in my graduation.
Having friends in both the institutes, I might be able to help you with the question. Welingkar, Mumbai, and PUMBA are two opposite colleges, and comparing them is the same as comparing the North and South directions.
- Welingkar has a cut-off of 99 for MMS and in the course of PGDM, the cutoff is above 70 percentile which should be scored in CET.
- If scored above 70 percentile, a person would be called for GD and PI.
- On the other hand, PUMBA in CET has a quite good cut-off ranging from about 94-95 percentile.
- The campus is quite good also as it offers the whole Pune University Campus to sit and have fun in.
- Along with the cut-off and campus, It's also better in terms of ROI.

Getting a seat in B.Sc. in Agriculture at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is like getting a medical seat in a top university. This is due to the value and demand for agriculture seats increasing.
Having a few friends studying in TNAU Coimbatore here are a few things they mentioned.
- After graduation, students opt for the banking sector or appear for the UPSC exams.
- Nearly 25% of students appearing for higher administrative examinations conducted by UPSC like IAS, IPS are from the agriculture stream.
- In 2020, the cut-off was around 199.5 for the general and MBC categories.
- Since the preference for agriculture courses among students is increasing, this year the cut-off mark is expected to go high between 175 to 199 out of 200.
- The cut-off marks also depend upon communal reservation, ICAR quota, NRI, and industrial quota, in 7 colleges that are directly attached and managed by TNAU.

IIIT Hyderabad MSIT course is perfect for someone who has a flawed academic profile like a gap year or something. People like these have very limited opportunities so this course might uplift their chances of getting placed decently. However, since you specifically asked, this course is not a good option if you have an IT background. This is because the curriculum is repetitive and covered in a shorter duration. Also, if you are employed, it’s better to invest your efforts in improving your work experience than wasting time on this course.
The placements are decent and in fact, during the first phase, you might get into top IT giants like Amazon, Salesforce, American Express, etc. But if you fail to get placed in these then the only option left is to get into service sector-based companies.
So, this course is best suited for those who are looking for a means to upgrade their academic profile.
How was your interview experience for IIT Gandhinagar for an MTech in mechanical engineering?
My brother had to appear for an online interview because he applied during the corona time. He joined Google Meet on time and began with his introductions. The interviewers asked him a number of questions like
- Describe the college you did your bachelor's from and the placement scenario there
- Is there any topic you are most comfortable with for the technical questions?
- What is compressible flow and compressible fluid?
- what is internal energy?
- PV^? what are its assumptions?

Basically, he was bombarded with a lot of technical questions although they helped him a lot. From the interview experience, he arrived at the conclusion that to ace the interview one must have revised the notes he/she prepared while studying for GATE.

While some may consider the hostel facilities of AIIMS Bhubaneswar a bit inferior to that of AIIMS Jodhpur and Bhopal, all necessary amenities are available here making the stay comfortable.
- AIIMS Bhubaneswar has 3 boys' hostels, 2 girls' hostels, and separate Nursing and PG hostels.
- The hostel's rooms are sufficiently large and furnished with basic amenities like a bed, table, chair, and an almirah.
- Students can bring their own electrical appliances and no such restrictions are there.
- The students are allotted shared rooms in the first year and get their personal rooms in the second year.
- AIIMS Sulabh visits daily to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
- The campus is secure and safe with SIS security guards on duty 24/7.
- The college has bus facilities that take you to the market on weekends.
- AIIMS Bhubaneswar has 2 messes providing tasty and healthy food for the MBBS students each having its independent canteen that serves additional food. There are TVs installed in the mess area.
- The campus also has a stationary shop that fulfills the basic needs of the students.
- AIIMS Bhubaneswar has excellent sports facilities such as two TT boards, 2 badminton courts, 1 volleyball court, 1 basketball court, 1 football field, and 1 cricket pitch.
- AIIMS BBSR had the honor to organize the first-ever Inter-AIIMS fest- Chiasma.
Overall, AIIMS Bhubaneswar has excellent campus and hostel facilities that improve the college life and learning experience of the students as a whole.

The campus infrastructure at Welingkar is excellent, with two libraries, three reading halls, and spacious classrooms. The canteen serves good quality food, and there are research labs for students interested in conducting research on various topics.
The academic curriculum is designed to meet industrial requirements and is updated regularly. The faculty members are also well-equipped with current industry knowledge, making it the best education one can receive.

What is the cost of changing subjects in IGNOU?
The cost of changing subjects in IGNOU is as follows:

Change in Elective/Course is permitted within 30 days from the receipt of the first set of course material on payment of INR 300/- for a 2/4 credit course

For the Master’s Degree Programme, it is INR 500/- for 2/4 credit

All these payments are to be made by way of a demand draft drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at the place of concerned Regional Centre. All such requests for a change of Elective/ Course should be addressed to the concerned Regional Centre only as per schedule.

What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at NIT Calicut?
Starting a journey doesn’t require any tips as such. You just need to keep your morale high throughout the journey. Also, NIT, Calicut is an amazing place to study in. Yes whatever happens in these four years here, you're going to remember it for your lifetime.
Life at NITC can be segregated into two parts:
- If you are from Northern India food might be a problem as well as the change of the climate. It will take some time to get used to.
- If you are from Southern India you are familiar with the culture, climatic condition and food.
Here are some helpful facts for your joining in the first year:
- Keep your attendance in account, The faculties at NITC are really very strict and the attendance limit is 80%.
- Initially, seniors will be very mischievous and make you do notorious stuff and be harsh on you. But once all these are over they'd be extremely friendly and cooperative.
- Look upon your subjects: If you're an average student, keep your eyes out for Basic Electrical Sciences, Engineering Mechanics, and Physics in the first year.
- NITC hosts two of the most important fests in South India, Tathva and Ragam. So as a first year, take part in PAD and INFRA works and do your contribution to the college. It is also a great way to make contacts with seniors, which would be useful later.
- Balance academics and extracurricular activities: Give proper time for studies so that it will not create an additive burden during the exam time. Never leave your work pending.
- Visit places in and near NITC, Have your share of leisure. Take time out for yourself and to know the place you are going to be in for the major 4 years of your life.
Joining a club at the end of first year is essentialfor every student. It will not only help you to gain a lot of knowledge regarding things but also, develop social skills, and obtain many contacts.
Yes, 1st year will be a bit difficult for all but after 2–3 months you get habitual of everything so don’t worry much it’s a beautiful place to live in.
