How good is NL Dalmia for MBA in finance? My other options are SIES (MMS) & Welingkar (PGDM). Any help will be appreciated?
Before joining any college it's better to perform some research on it. The foremost thing is you need to know all the placement details from alumni or the students who are currently studying in that college. Don’t choose a college based only on their advertisement.
Dalmia NL, SIES (MMS), and Welingker(PGDM) all these colleges are well-reputed institutions in Mumbai for management studies. I have friends pursuing their studies at these colleges. Based on what I heard, I will say N L Dalmia is the best college among these three. It has better placement records, ranking, and reputation.
- For Finance specialization, N L Dalmia has a limited student intake, i.e. 60 seats.
- Additionally, the institute has Mumbai's first Bloomberg Finance Lab.
- It has a placement average of 100%. The average package for placement in the finance stream is around 6.5 lacs, while the highest package offered is above 13 lacs.
So, N L Dalmia is definitely a better choice. But before making a decision, do your own research first.
What is the meaning of the first mercy chance at Kurukshetra University?
Kurukshetra University gives you 3 attempts to clear your exam. If you fail at all those three chances the university gives you a mercy chance to clear that examination.
But since there are some students who are still unable to clear these mercy chances. So now they have been categorized as first and second mercy chances. Here as long as you can pay for the form and have time you can continue giving your exams.
Does FMS Delhi have any hostel facilities?
Hostel allocation is handled by the University of Delhi, not FMS. There is only one significant dorm, VKRV Rao Hostel, where 30 seats are set aside annually for FMS and the remaining 30 for DSE.
For first-year FMS guys, there are 30 spots. The CAT score is used to determine the allocation. However, 15 spots are set out for international, ST, and SC students. For OBC, there is no reserve.
The D.S. Kothari Hostel, Jubilee Hall, and P.G. Men's Hostel are three further hostels that each have one to four beds available. Forms must be obtained from each hostel and filed before the deadline, which is often June 30 or thereabouts, in order to apply for the hostels.

What are the minimum subjects to be taken for the BA programme of IGNOU?
In BA you have 96 credits in total. From which:

8 or 16 credits are of application oriented courses.
You are allowed to complete only 32 credits every year. If you want minimum courses for your BA program you should choose all courses of 8 credits each. That will be 12 courses for 3 years, 4 courses per year.
But if you want your BA degree to be a BA major, then you must complete 48 credits in one specific subject (subject in which you want a BA major).
2 more important things to know are:

The theory exams of the 4 credit courses are of 50 marks in 2 hrs.

The theory exams of the 8 credit courses are of 100 marks in 3 hrs.
Note that these 48 credits must be completed in 3 years with minimum 16 credits per year in that specific subject.
Which is better, Manipal University Jaipur or Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune?
In my opinion, Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune is better than Manipal University Jaipur and its performance and ranking over the past few years are a testament to the same

- Sports: SIT is the perfect place for sports lovers with amazing facilities like a gym, Indoor badminton courts, Swimming pools, Tennis courts, Squash courts, etc.
In all, Symbiosis Institute of Technology is a better choice than MIT.
What are the best things for Jadavpur University students to do on weekends?
There are many things that you can try on weekends at Jadavpur University.
- In the morning, you can go to Sarovar Lake for jogging or walking. It’s also a great place for watching many species of migrant and resident birds.
- JU Central library has a great collection of books. If you like reading, this place will be great for you.
- In the evening, there are many places you can go to. You can visit Madhusudan Mancha, Dhakuria. There is a great musical or theater production almost every weekend.
- At Rashbehari Avenue end, there is an amateur theater arena called Muktangan.
- There is also Navina Cinema, South City Mall. You can visit these places to catch up on movies.
- If you are a foodie, you will find many food kiosks around the campus area.

Is DTU ragging free?
Yes, DTU is a completely ragging-free campus, and the kind of mistreatment against juniors is reprimanded.
My friend shared her first-day experience at DTU. She arrived late and missed the orientation so had no idea where the classroom and hostel were. She was flustered and roamed around looking for her class for about 30 minutes. After losing all hopes she finally mustered the courage and approached a group of seniors and asked them about her class. One of them asked for her registration number and then searched the schedule on the official website. He then told her the exact directions to her class. He also gave his phone number and told her to contact him if she faced any issues in the future.
This anecdote alone proves that DTU is a ragging-free campus with extremely helpful seniors.
Which is better, Barkatullah University or LNCT Bhopal?
Lakshmi Narain College of Technology is ranked at 39th position out of 191 colleges in India by The Week. Barkatullah University is a state university and is ranked at 6th position in Bhopal and overall it is at the 341st position in India.
