Who are the best professors at Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata?
HIT is among the top engineering colleges in West Bengal, affiliated with MAUKAT. The institute is awarded as the Most Preferred Engineering Institute of 2020.
One of my friends, an alumnus of the college, reviewed that the faculty is excellent. They are highly qualified and carry ample industry experience. Most of them are doctorates and well-known in their field of study.
At his time, the discussions about the facility happened in Macha, the cafeteria of the college. The best professor that he was under was Mr. Nirmaan Ganguly (NG sir). He was the best among all the other professors. Apart from him, the others include Mr. Amitava Hatilal of the electrical department and Mr. Parth sir in the computer science department.
These were the few teachers from the past whom he could recall even after five years of graduating.
What is the fee structure for IIM Indore?
As per the updated fee structure for PGP program (batch 2023-2025), the course fee for Indian residents is Rs. 10 Lakhs per year. It is Rs. 15 Lakhs per year for International students.
Other fees include a medical insurance premium of Rs. 679 per year, a mess deposit of Rs. 54,000 in the first year, and a refundable caution deposit of Rs. 50,000 in the first year. What would be a comparison between CSE at IIIT Delhi and IIIT Bangalore?
Based on my research, I will present some points to support the opinion that I will put by the end of my answer-
- Faculty- The faculty of IIIT Delhi is considered to be one of the best in India. The college offers top-quality classroom teaching. But even IIITB has good professors.
- Curriculum- IIITD offers the most relevant and flexible curriculum for B.Tech CSE. They will teach you core CS from the first year itself. Even IIITB teaches core CS from the first year, but it started with iM.Tech quite recently, in 2017. IIITB doesn’t offer B.Tech courses.
- Funding and perks- As IIIT Delhi is a state government-run institute, it gets funding and other perks.
- Infrastructure and Internet facilities- Being a new institute, IIIT Delhi has better infrastructure and Internet facilities.
IIIT Bangalore is a better choice for an M.Tech CS, based on curriculum, placements, etc. But as far as UG studies are concerned, B.Tech CS at IIIT Delhi is better than iM.Tech CS at IIIT Bangalore.
How are Ambedkar University Delhi placements?
Placement at Ambedkar University Delhi depends on the course. For courses like MBA, Masters in Economics, the placement statistics are quite good. In recent years the average CTC offered in the placement drive was 7 LPA. Considering the course fee the ROI is great. Some of the major recruiters that visited the campus placement were Zomato, IndiaMart, ITC, Decathlon, etc.

NL Dalmia does not follow the exact cutoff criteria. The cutoff ranges from 92 to 95% for the general category. The admission process is based on your score in the entrance examination and the interview conducted by the institute. This institute accepts various entrance examinations like XAT, CAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc. for a PGDM program.
What are the pros and cons of not having a hostel at FMS Delhi?
The following are the benefits and drawbacks of not having a hostel at FMS, Delhi:
Pros:
- When Freshers set out to arrange their own housing for the next two years, it was a completely new experience for them.
- Helps to act as a bonding activity for the students of the new batch even before the start of the session.
- Allows students to live according to their preferences for the next two years.
- As a result, the two years are more relaxed than at other top B-Schools in the country because no unexpected classes can be scheduled after a certain time of day, unlike at other fully residential B-Schools.
Cons:
- Students are put under additional pressure before the start of the session to arrange for their own lodging.
- It raises the overall cost of the course for the next two years. Despite the fact that it is a two-year course for the rest of the world. Other than tuition, there are numerous other expenses, and the lack of a college hostel significantly increases them.
- Less rigor than other fully residential B-SCHOOLS. Few IIMs even hold classes at 11 p.m. And it is viewed positively by corporations as rigor. However, this is not possible at FMS.
Thus, despite its pros and cons, it is a completely different experience that students should endure during their two wonderful years at FMS.
Which is better, the NIT Calicut or the NSIT\DTU?
My friend also got to choose among NIT Calicut, NSIT (NSUT) and DTU last year. He decided to go for NSUT. NSUT has the best placement record out of the three, lagging behind only the top IITs (IIT Delhi, Bombay, Kanpur, Madras, Kharagpur) and BITS Pilani. NSUT is located in the national capital which adds to its list of advantages.

However, do consider the branch that you will be getting at each. CSE is the most preferred branch among Engineering students and recruiters at present.
Thus, based on your personal preferences and the branch offered at each, choose between NIT Calicut, NSUT and DTU. However, personally, I would recommend NSUT if you get a good branch in it.
