Which college is better for a BCom honours: Gargi college, Indraprastha College for women or Daulat Ram College?
Among these institutes, Daulat Ram Collge has a great Commerce faculty base. The professors are well-experienced and dedicated. They help students with their doubts even after college hours.
It is situated on the north campus. It is a fun place to be. There is always some event going on. Also, Daulat Ram has a great fest called Manjari.
Gargi College and Indraprastha College for Women are also good alternatives. If you clear the required cutoff for all these colleges, your preference order should be Daulat Ram>I.P>Gargi.

Apart from figures and placements you should choose the field of study based on your own interests and strengths not on the faculty or features of the college.
TAPMI has very good faculty in all the subjects. IT was and is a major recruiter here. It also gives tough competition to Consulting. So, IT and Consulting are the major specializations opted by the last batch followed by BFSI. But if you have a specialization in mind go for that and don’t just depend on statistics.

Which one is better NLU Delhi or NLSIU?
There is no doubt that NLS is the superior institute. It has many advantages in terms of ranking, exposure, and faculty. Even though NLUD is making significant progress and its infrastructure can be considered better than NLS but still it lags behind in certain aspects.
- NLSIU has one of the best law libraries in the country. It also has a pretty strong alumni network that would take NLUD a minimum of 15 years to replicate.
- NLU Delhi was founded recently and has already established itself as one of the greatest law schools in the country.
- I would strongly advise you to attend NLS Bangalore if you have the opportunity to do so. My cousin who pursued a course from NLS Bangalore is now working in a reputable firm for over 2 years.

People may advise you to attend NLUD as it is closer to your home, but you will learn, explore, and enjoy your college years more if you go to a different city, away from your parents, and discover everything on your own.
What are the reasons for the degradation of IIITM Gwalior?
This is true that IIITM Gwalior is not the same as before and there are 2 main reasons for it - Academics and Research.
Any college's fate lies in the vision of the director and unfortunately, the dean of IIITM Gwalior doesn't focus much on academics and rather focuses on unnecessary things like exam duties, staff handling, transportation, and all.
This is not all and there is a chain of events that are happening and making the situation worse.
Some of the observation include:
- This college is autonomous and hence all its decisions are made here. The problem lies in the fact that all the decisions are made on the go and there is no pre-planning of any task.
- The main disgrace is academics. A professor of another field is taking lectures on another subject. What do you think of academics then?
- The feedback is just a waste and no action is taken depending on the response of the student.
- Faculties are the soul of any educational institute. Faculty here are living in their old vibes and fighting each other, satisfying their ego. They stand nowhere against the faculty of IITs and NITs.
- The placement cell is bogus and they try to provide minimum help to the student. Students here are mostly placed off-campus depending on their skillset and coding skills.
- The politics that goes around at every level of the institute.

The condition of Research is also pathetic. There is no support from the professor on how to write research papers and publish them. Also, they have no collaboration with any industries and R&D labs.
Should I choose NSIT CSE or IIT Delhi Civil?
I am a Civil Engineering student at IIT Delhi.
Even though CoE/ CSE/ IT are much more sought after by students in the present times, I would choose Civil at IIT Delhi over CoE at NSUT.
Here are the reasons for the same:
- The faculty at IIT Delhi is much more experienced and learned than that at NSUT.
- IIT Delhi was established in 1961, while NSUT in 1983. Because of this, IIT Delhi has a stronger alumni network.
- IIT Delhi is a globally recognized brand, while NSUT is usually only known to students of North India. The “IIT” brand is immensely helpful when applying to foreign universities for higher studies.
- Although civil freshers are rarely in demand, a civil engineer with enough work experience, the right set of skills, and great project accomplishments is paid a high salary.

How is cse in MANIT Bhopal?

Here are the key points based on their experience-
- MANIT CSE has the same placement records as CSE at top NITs and IITs. Try to make the most out of the opportunities provided to you.
- The seniors at the CSE department are very helpful.
- An important tip for you is to not indulge in any kind of quarrel with the locals. They do not allow the MANIT students to roam around or perform any kind of mischief outside of the college campus.
- The campus is quite huge, and cycling is the best way to move back and forth between the hostel and the classrooms.
- The CSE professors impart useful knowledge, so attend their classes regularly .
- In order to ace the placements, start competitive programming from semester 2 itself.
Make the most of your stay at MANIT Bhopal and study hard from the first year itself. If you do this, you’ll find CSE at MANIT to be quite good.

How is the hostel food at SVNIT?
The hostel food at SVNIT, like the one at any other college, can be best described as boring and repetitive.
Each hostel is handled by a different mess contractor, which is why the food quality may vary with the hostel. But one thing is for sure that the private contractors try to extract as much profit as they can. The menu predominantly contains Gujarati dishes, which may not be to the liking of some people. The meals have limited options, and one has no choice but to eat whatever is available. The hostels do not serve non-veg meals, but some hostels serve eggs on a day of the week/ on Sundays.
On a particular day, every alternate week, the mess remains closed for dinner. This is the perfect time to explore some restaurants or street foods outside of the campus. The food in Surat is delicious and has a lot of variety. On weekends, many families gather on the footpaths of the Dumas road along the SVNIT walls. There, one gets food stalls with different kinds of veg and non veg options. These stalls serve very affordable dishes. You can also ask your seniors for their favorite restaurants in the city.
The hostel food of SVNIT is manageable, but a bit boring.
