What is the total annual expense of IIM Indore IPM Programme?
The IPM fee structure is different for domestic and international students.
As per the latest update on 16th June 2023, a resident Indian student is charged Rs. 5 Lakhs per year as course fee, for the first three years of the IPM program. Rs. 711 is payable per year as medical insurance premium, and Rs. 54,000 is payable each year as mess deposit.
Rs. 50,000 is payable in the first year as a refundable caution deposit. This amount is refunded on completing 5 years of IPM. This brings the grand total to Rs. 5,54,711 per year (Rs. 6,04,711 for 1st year). As for the 4th and 5th year, the fee will be charged on the basis of the updated PGP fee structure for the 2026-2028 batch. As for now, the course fee for the same is Rs. 10 Lakhs per year.

During the 2022 placements, the average and highest CTC offered were INR 24.85 LPA and INR 1.95 CPA, respectively. What is the typical day routine of a student at PEC, Chandigarh?
Each student has a different schedule so below listed are general routines that will try to cover everything.
1st year:
- There are only 5 subjects with hardly two labs in the 2nd semester and you usually get free around 3 pm.
- At lunchtime, hostlers go to their mess, and day scholars can be seen eating lunch either at PEC market, admin stairs, or their classrooms.
- Some will return home at 3 pm unless the student has some college activity after 5 pm.
- NSS guys will be teaching students from 4 pm to 6 pm and the one with sports will be running, students can see NCC doing parade and drama clubs, students doing practice, and others having their workshops in classrooms.
- In October students are busy with the fests and sometimes students will be planning for quizzes and assignments.
2nd year:
- The most hectic year of your life. Almost every day classes will be from 8 pm to 5 pm and then again some college activities after 5 pm.
- More quizzes, assignments, and labs are given on a regular basis.
3rd year:
- One semester left before the student leaves the College for internships.
- Students are busy with the company's activity.
- College activities certainly get reduced and the academic load is less.
4th year:
- Only two to three subjects unless the student is taking honors.
- Classes get over from 11 am to 12 pm.
- Students are now head of a society or club and have to wait for 5 pm to start the activity.
- The student has to figure out what they will do in that free time.

Which is better, IIITM Gwalior or IIIT Lucknow?
According to most of the students studying there, both the colleges have average reviews. Though if compared IIITM Gwalior is considered better than IIIT Lucknow. As IIITM Gwalior was established at the same time when IIT Hyderabad and Bangalore were established, they have passed out many batches of students, but still have average placements below 10 LPA.

If we talk about IIT Hyderabad then it has also passed out many batches, but the average packages here are of more than 20 lakhs. IIITB has passed out several Btech + Mtech batches offering 17 to 18 LPA as average salary package.
IIT lucknow unlike the others mentioned is not that good or worth it, as it is a newer establishment, placements by significant companies are less. Try for old NITs, as they will get you better and higher salary packages.
What are the negative points of UIET, Chandigarh?
I know a few people from UIET Chandigarh. Here are some of the things that they find bothersome.
- Practicals and experiments in labs are limited to the course syllabus and even in some cases the methods and equipment to perform the given set of instructions to get the desired result are outdated as compared to the latest technology.
- Lack of proficient faculty/teachers, who can make the particular subjects more exciting. Existing teachers can not even be enabled to build one’s interest in an already interesting subject like Artificial intelligence.
- There is a lack of proper conversations and interaction among the students to coordinate and help each other in study and in other tasks as well.
In all above negative points, there is something positive which came forward is that you get a lot of free time to prepare for any competitive exams there as students of this college require only 75% of total attendance and if you are having less than it, the party people and students union compel authorities to make you sit for the exams.
Which is better: MAIT or MSIT in terms of academics, placements and other things?
In terms of academics, placements, and other factors, MSIT Delhi is better than MAIT.
- Due to the rigorous academic schedule and strict attendance rules of MSIT, it ranks higher in academics.
- MSIT has a better placement record. In 2021, Google offered the highest CTC of INR 55 LPA. The average CTC usually stays around 5-6 LPA.
- It has a great student crowd.
MSIT has a location advantage as well as the campus is located near the Janakpuri district centre.
Which is better, IIEST Shibpur or NIT Patna?
This is a pretty difficult question as both the colleges are great in their own ways. National Institute of Technology (Patna) is ranked 134th in India among the leading technical institutes of India by NIRF. Whereas, IIEST Shibpur is ranked 19th among engineering colleges by NIRF. IIEST Shibpur witnessed a placement record of 311 students for the academic year of 2018-2019. The highest recruiting batch was Information Technology. 39.2 LPA was the highest salary offered in the 2019 placement drive.

Whereas, NIT Patna placed 279 students from the streams of B. Tech, M. Tech, B. Arch. The highest salary offered was INR 39.12 LPA and the average salary was record around INR 7.71 LPA in the 2019 placement.
Both IIEST Shibpur and NIT Patna are equally good. So choose an institute among the two according to your convenience.
How good and interesting is the IIT, Kanpur in economics?
Admissions to the Economics department at IIT Kanpur are done on the basis of the JEE Advanced exam.

Degree: BS(Bachelor of Science) degree
Curriculum:
- The first year comprises fundamental and compulsory courses that all engineering students do. These include Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, C programming, one HSS(Humanities and Social Science) course, and technical arts(Engineering drawing).
- The economics course is introduced in the 3rd semester wherein we have to do 6 courses. Out of these one is an economic course-Introduction to Microeconomics, one is an HSS course while others are related to Engineering.
- In the 4th semester, again there are 6 courses, out of which 1 is Introduction to Macroeconomics, two courses are Probability & Statistics and Maths for Economics(Optimization ) and the remaining 3 are engineering courses.
- For the rest of the semesters, the ratio of economics courses and other courses remains the same, that is 3 each.
The coursework is purely logical and needs the practical implementation of concepts. Understanding of math is very necessary to derive data from graphs. All in all, the economics course at IIT Kanpur is very interesting given that you have an interest in Mathematics and Economics.
What is the average package of IIT Roorkee mechanical (B.Tech) graduate?
IIT Roorkee Placements 2023 is still ongoing and hasn’t been concluded yet. The highest domestic CTC was recorded at INR 1.3 CPA while the highest domestic CTC was recorded at INR 1.06 CPA. Students revived more than 500 offers and around 63 recruiters visited the campus.
IIT Roorkee does not release branch-wise placements but around 85% of the entire batch of every branch gets placed with preferred branches like CSE and ECE having a placement rate of around 98-100%.
