Facilities 

UIET Chandigarh 

• The campus is 11 acres in area.
• The institute has 2 academic blocks including labs, offices, library, ATM and lecture halls.
• There are blocks for mechanical labs and workshops.
• It also has 2 separate hostels for boys and girls having a dining mess, individual washrooms and sporting facilities.

PEC University 

• With 146 acres, it provides facilities like Medical Facility and Graduate Research Project Award. 
• They have 6 hostels, 4 for boys and 2 for girls.
• They have a library consisting of 1,19,830 books.

Electrical Engineering has better scope of placements than Metallurgy Engineering. Choosing EE will be better for your career. 

IEM Kolkata is a good option to pursue BCA. It is affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and accredited to NAAC. The course fee is around Rs.3 lakh and there are 120 seats for the BCA program. The institute witnessed 100% placement in the academic year 2019 for BCA. According to the placement highlights, the total number of offers received was 106 and 9 recruiting companies visited the campus. The major recruiter at IEM includes TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, SAP Labs, PWC, etc.

West Bengal has other esteemed institutes as well that offer BCA. Keeping all the factors in the mind if we compare, then IEM stands ahead of a lot of universities and colleges situated in West Bengal. Both Sri Sairam and Sri Venkateswara are highly esteemed engineering colleges. According to my sister, studying at Sri Sairam Engineering College, their quality of education is better.

• The faculty here gives more preference to practical knowledge than theoretical knowledge.
• The infrastructure is quite decent and placement opportunities are impressive.
• This college has strict rules and regulations and violations of which would leave you in a difficult position.
• Mobile phones are not allowed and no leaves are given.
• Boys and girls are prohibited from speaking to each other.
• For any violation of rules, you would have to pay a penalty fee.
• This college encourages less socialization and more focus on academics.
• Hostel life can get boring at certain points.

Sri Venkateswara has less rules. They encourage extracurricular activities and act as a platform for the students to enhance their skills. The college is affiliated with Anna University and is liberal compared to other colleges.

Whatever the facilities the hostels and campuses offer their students, it is important that you try to learn and adjust to the surrounding.

There is a lot of different types of experiences this place has to offer anyone who is a part of it. If you are staying in the hostel of IIIT Allahabad, you have got your pockets full of things you can do.

• The rooms and bathrooms at IIIT A are large enough with efficient ventilation and adequate cleanliness. 
• The entire infrastructure overall is quite well maintained indeed and the management makes sure that all the hostel residing students are taken proper care of.
• The mess is quite a popular one here and just like all other engineering colleges, the mess isn’t a very fancy one. But, it offers hygienic and timely food to all and caters to the taste of students from all over the country. 
• Your group of friends also becomes an important and a contributing factor of how your hostel life is and I would say this is the phase of your life that you need to appreciate the most out of everything.

Although learning new ways and adjusting to your surroundings is one of the biggest experiences you will ever have in your student life, the hostel facilities at IIIT Allahabad are quite worth everything.
