Remarks

VIT is 1st autonomous private engg. College in Maharashtra. May be good in Pune after COEP. But locality of college is very bad. College has also increased fees tremendously without any developement. Intake of No. Of students has also increased even there is low placement rate for other branches than CSIT.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is good but it goes on changing every year since college is autonomous. Due to recent exam structure, there is less chance of anyone getting fail unless he has 75% attendance. Recent EXAM pattern is mainly focussing on project and viva rather than written exam. Dont know abt college board thinking behind such pattern.

Placement Experience

3.5

College have excellent placements for computer and IT branch students. They are few placements for mechanical guy. Core companies often come for this 3 branches. For other branches there are less placement s and internship. Students have to search for their own internships from outside. Computer guy will get min. 20k stipend in internship where as for mech 6 to 7k.

College Events

4

Two main events of college are Vishwakarandak and Melange. Vishwakarandak is interdepartmental college event and melange is intercollege event where students from various colleges participate. Events consist of sports, extracurricular, technical, quiz etc. Other than this there are many clubs which arrange programs in college where students can participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very much expensive for recent batch. There is nothing in college to pay such a high fees. Its very hard for Middle class family student who do not get any scholarship. Next year college fees may be touching almost two lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

College does not offer any scholarship. If your family income is low then you can opt for government scholarship which have some conditions. College helps in scholarship matter but you have to personally look into it to get scholarship.

Campus Life

2.5

There are many technical and social clubs. There is organising committee for every event which makes event successful. There are also technical clubs which participate in competition like supra, baja and robotics competition.

Alumni/Alumna

There may be alumni network of college. But I have not experienced any effect of it. College may be in contact with them.I don't know much abt it. College arranges alumni meet every year but hardly have chats with current learning students.

Admission

I had given Engg. CET exam.conducted by gov. Of Maharashtra. On the basis of CET score admission is alloted by DTE Maharashtra by conducting common admission process(CAP) rounds. There are 3 rounds in which you have to fill your college preferences and branches with necessary documents for admission. After every round college is alloted and there is chance for student for betterment in college on basis of vacancy available in seats in college.

Faculty

3

Some Faculties are really good having PhD. But some are just teaching and gives writing Stuff from books just to ensure that students are filling notebooks with no knowledge what they are learning. Some junior teacher are teaching in 3rd and 4th year.
