Remarks

Chandigarh university is the best university for those students who want to focus on both acedamics and extracurricular activities. It's very rare to find universities in which there is encouragement for power lifting and boxing for both boys and girls. They even hosts international festivals which is very rare to happen in india.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum in chandigarh university for all the departments will be made by a committee of members in which iit professors of respective department and department HOD along with some members of UGC arw included. They will plan and design curriculum in a manner that student can focus in acedamics as well as in other aspects like sports, music, dance etc,. Examination pattern is basically divided into two parts internal examination and external examination. Internals are for 40 marks which are further divided into four elements. Element 1 and 2 consists of first and second mst marks, element 3 is for combined surprise test and assignment marks element 4 is for attendance (students with above 90% attendance in each subject will get 2 marks for that subject) and external exams are for remaining 60 marks.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are very good for computer science students. For other departments placements are less but we can't blame on university placemnets and all depends on demand of employees by the industries. My university is one of the leading universities with high placement percentage in india. My university also provides interships for students. Stipend varries from Rs.6000-9000.

College Events

5

Chandigarh university encourages students as well as faculty there will be always events in university which helps students to get relieved from acedamic pressures. Following are some of events happen in our university Freshers day celebrations, tashan nights, teachers day celebrations, sports day, international fests, importants days of different countries students are also celebrated like new year etc.,

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of chandigarh university is very feasible for students they are not too high and moreover they provide loan letters from university side to students so that they can avail education loans from banks for studying. My one of the reason for joining in that university is the fee structure which is less compared to other universities.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did my post graduation through education loan, in chandigarh university there is a loan deprtment which helps students in availing education loans for completing course. I have more than 80% in my graduation so i got 10% fee concession in semester fee for that in chandigarh university

Campus Life

4.5

As i told earlier chandigarh university have always been great supportive to students who had intrest in extra-curricular activities, last year there were auditions for wwe in chandigarh university and two students are selected from chandigarh university. Chandigarh university is the first university in india where wwe auditions was done. There is no need for me to tell about how supportive the university is for extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes, i have opted for hostel and i was there in hostel for two years. Chandigarh university hostels have the best infrastructure like almaras, centralized cooling system for every room, water geezers, gym for each towers, lift facilty in hostels. Food is also so good in hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

Chandigarh univiersity always tracks their alumni status and they make a network with their alumni students and they even conduct events for alumni students and they make alumni students to share their experiences and valuable advices with their juniors

Admission

After completing my graduation i was searching for a good university which show equal importance to acedamic as well as extra curricular activities. I found chandigarh university official web page and i was so impressed with that university and applied through fastrack (unuversity admission portal) uploaded all my educational details. After two weeks i got a call from university admission department that my application was selected for admission in their university.

Faculty

4

It's a best univeristy with good faculty (can't say extraordinary but reasonably good) but what i like in my university is they don't give importance for only studies they encourage students who have intrest in other fields also that was really very grate encouraging for students to work on thier field of interests.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.
