Remarks

Just one thing, come out of the academic syllabus drama. Every faculty in the college just demands good attendance, completion of syllabus and timely submissions of assignments and practical files(which they don’t even read, 1000s of pages just kept aside). Students need practical knowledge, and they need to understand it. I have wasted my 3 years. Again, all blame to Indian education system and curriculum of IP University.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Curriculum of whole GGSIPU is outdated for B.Tech course. My college is affiliated with GGSIPU, so we are bound to study that outdated syllabus. Exam structure is pretty descent. The question papers are easy to answer/solve. It’s no big deal to pass an exam in IPU. You will fail only if you don’t attempt the questions as checking is very lenient.

Placement Experience

0.5

Absolutely zero. All you get in the final year are pool campus placement drive links. Hardly any technical company visits the campus and those who do, pay less that 20k per month. Placement cell has organised more placement drives for business development profile as compared to technical profile for Computer Science and ECE students. All other branches are sitting idle. I am not saying that pool campus drives are a bad choice but the competition outside your campus is massive. You have to compete with students of other colleges in their respective colleges where they have a high chance of partiality.

College Events

0.5

There is an annual fest of GGSIPU which is organised in the main university campus in Dwarika. Second, there is an annual event of our college named “Zest and Dandiya” which is organised in Siri Fort Auditorium as there is no space for such events in our college. Both the events have several events and competitions like fashion show, dance battle etc. Lastly, there is a celebrity night which is organised once a year or once in two years. Famous celebrities like Guru Randhawa and Badshah come there to perform and cheer up the audience. Basically it’s a concert. All the above events are free and doesn’t charge you a single penny. All you need is the college ID card.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My annual fee is INR 1 lakh. Fee structure is feasible as compared to other Universities but at the same time justice is not there. For the amount of money we spend, we don’t get quality education. I completely blame Indian education system and outdated curriculum of GGSIPU for this.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is nothing. No facilities or scholarships are provided by college. My college only focuses on completing academic syllabus, 75% attendance and good marks. There is nothing they are doing to encourage students to try something new.

Hostel Facilities

1

No, I haven’t opted for hostel but I have my friends there. Firstly, there is no girls’ hostel provided by the college which is highly unexplainable. Thanks to the other private girls hostels present around the campus that allow girls to stay near campus and avoid daily up down. Secondly, the boys hostel is as usual like any other campus. Everyone have same complains like mess food or unhygienic environment etc.

Alumni/Alumna

If you approach people, they are willing to help you in either way possible. The crowd is pretty descent and fun loving. Seniors doesn’t take initiative but are always ready to guide you in their field or help you find a mentor according to your field of interest.

Admission

I gave an entrance exam named “CET” which is a common exam for all who wants to get admission in GGSIPU B.Tech program. I didn’t performed well in that exam and my ranking was around 19k. So in the 3rd round of counselling, I was allotted this college. I visited college very next day, submitted the fees and completed all the formalities.

Faculty

2.5

As far as the guidance is considered, I don’t have any issues with them but when it comes to the practical knowledge or extra curricular activities, no one comes forward. They expect a lot from you but doesn’t teach you that much. Just for example:- I am a Computer Science student and I am asked to make a project on latest technologies like Machine Learning and Blockchain, what they teach is 10-15 years behind of Blockchain. You have to learn everything on your own if you want industrial knowledge.

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.
