Canara college has a good environment, and all lecturers take the initiative to teach for study. The college motivates much and also provides many sessions about career development. Placements are also good here. Lecturers are well-educated and very hardworking. All projects are done in college.

More than 90% of the ECE students are placed here. Some core companies do come such as iwave,tesolve and all. For ECE the highest offer is about 6LPA. But in our college for CS and IS packages above 8lpa has come. All students manage to do internships and we have many companies in our college itself that are start ups by our students.

Onam celebration, the harvest festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Canara engineering college. On account of this festival, numerous activities such as pookkalam competition.

One feels the fee structure is a bit high. But it's quite reasonable as compared to the other engineering college. The only good thing is that canara has good placement assistance. My overall expenditure for 4 year is was around 4 lakhs.

The ECE lab is well equipped with training kits like Advanced MIC Trainer, Antenna Trainer, GSM Mobile Communication Trainer, Optical Fibre Communication Trainer, Satellite Communication Trainer, and so on.

The Alumni association of our college has completed 13 years of active functioning. Every year, alumni meetings are organized to interact with the students which create an opportunity for the alumni to exchange their views about the developments in the competitive world. Already ten annual meetings have been conducted which were attended by a good number of alumni. All the email I.Ds of our alumni are available with our alumni association. present students are interacting with them to get career guidance. Whenever the members of alumni visit the college, they are allowed to interact with the students to share their experiences in higher studies and employment opportunities.

All our teachers are very well qualified. They all have good knowledge. But some ( very few ) despite having the knowledge. Do not know to teach. Every college has such teachers. But yes. Those subjects are basically self study. Course curriculum is up to date and a lot of activities are planned to make us industry ready.
