My college

Overall it is a good college but the teaching techniques really do need to change. Faculty should not be bossy over the students for they are the architects of our future. Many students are under the shadows of fear that the faculty may reduce their marks in the lab exam. So this is a big issue in the college and the faculty needs to be friendly.

Our course curriculum follows AR16 regulation. It's pretty updated but needs a bit improvement. Coming to the exam pattern we have two mid exams and one comprehension exam followed by end semester exam.

We had a total of 645 placements in our college last year. The average package is 4 lakhs and the maximum package is 14 lakhs. Coming to internships we have a one month internship by the end of our 4th semester and a six month internship either in the 7th or 8th semester I would be going to my first internship this summer so I don't have a proper idea on stipend.

We have a major event known as STEPCONE shortened for national level student's technical paper&project contest and exhibition. It is one of the biggest technical fest in Andhra Pradesh. It consists of various events such as technical events, spotlights, paper presentation s,AR VR exhibition,workshops and many such. Apart from that we have annual day, sports day and talent appreciation day.

Our fee is pretty expensive for a middle class family.It is almost 1,14,000 per year if you are a dayscholar and you need to pay an additional amount of 18,000 for transportation. If you are a hosteler you need to pay 85,000 per year for food accommodation and other facilities like launadary etc. So it's pretty expensive. But with the new government's policy of full fee redemption it's pretty feasible.

I availed a loan for 4,00,000 from Andhra Bank in our town, being a premium institute it provides a scope to the banks to provide loans. Coming to the scholarships we get an amount of 35,000 as a part of our fee redemption and get a scholar of 800 per month provided by the government. Apart from that students who get a tank below 10,000 will avail full fee redemption and will be provided with a laptop.

We have a very good infrastructure in our college. In our Mechanical department itself the equipment costs around 25cr. This gives you a better idea on how good our college is at infrastructure. We have a pretty big ground and we'll equipped gym.

Our seniors do help us a lot. It's due to them that most of our parllels have gained their own mark. Our alumni too take motivational classes every month it helps us a lot to rediscover ourselves and lead our careers

I wrote the eamcet exam conducted by jntu kakinada, after the results were declared and I was qualified I went on for my certificate verification and completed my online preference of colleges after that I was allowed seat in Gmrit and joined in it.

Our faculty is experienced and good. To be honest they have no proper idea on the latest trends. Everyone sticks to the old teaching process. It would be better if the faculty encourages to do some smart work instead of continuous hard work.
