College is having it's own pros and cons. College management needs to get improved.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum was better than other colleges. There was a balance between Theory and Practicals. No exposure to the outside industry. Here, you are on your own to learn new things. Faculty helps in new project ideas but no dedicated labs for the Electronics students.
Placement Experience
Placement is an average of 3 lakhs. Some students of CSE branch availed a package of even 21 lakhs. No dedicated placement committee for the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I haven't opted for any education loan, as for the scholarship our college does offer scholarships but during my 4 years at college, It did not come to my notice if any of the students did get any scholarship.
Campus Life
Campus life is enjoyable if you love mountains and snow. Gender ration is around 60 - 40 (60 for males and 40 for girls). Labs are well maintained and one teacher was always available for the support. Extracurricular includes Tech fest and annual college fest. Robotics club started by the time we left college.
Alumni/Alumna
ALumni network includes the seniors who are very helpful. They always help the students in dire times of need.
Admission
I appeared in the JEE Mains 2014 exam where I secured a rank of 80000 All India general category. The admission process was simple. JUIT, Solan held the counselling in the campus only. The procedure took a long day to get completed. Dates provided for the counselling were not tentative.
Faculty
Faculty is good. But always favours the students who lick the boots of the teachers. All together, faculty is available 24x7 to help the students whether it is academics related or project related. Faculty does not pass the students if they are not favourite of their teachers.
