Remarks

Good college faculty are good and except some who keep grudge on. Some student and the teaching is also good in our college and faculty are friendly with the student and they solve the doubts of the students

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is ok and we have 3 internals per semester and we should pay the semester examination fees to VTU every semester and the external exam is for 100 marks where they will convert the 100 marks into 60 and 40 marks is the internal

Good and the collge comes with a plenty of companies like Infosys etc they hire the people who are good at apptitude skills and good technical skills the highest package given is 11 lakhs per annum .our college also conducts the campus drive and they support us to attend the drive at other colleges also

1.onam 2.akrathi 3.freshers day 4.branch entry 5.cantech 6.ayudha pooja Aakriti is the biggest of all the events that's our college day where cultural events and formal functions will be there and dj evening will be also there for akriti and it is celebrated for 3 days

Fee Structure And Facilities

Management is nearly 100000 And if CET it will be around 75000 In CET we should pay 56000 to VTU and other is college fees and for management quota 104800 which includes compulsory placement traning .

Fees and Financial Aid

The college doesn't offer any scholarships and the only CET entry students may get SNQ(supernumerary) quota that is offered to a very few students of our college other scholarships is not provided in our college

Campus Life

Labs are also there and every labs will be conducted for my branch all the labs including extra labs for knowledge sake is also taken The college also entertain the sports student in volley ball throw ball basket ball cricket etc

Hostel Facilities

I have opted for hostel that is only for the first year and it was some what ok the hostel fees is 50000 per year and deposit 10000 and food is separate in canteen for paid. The canteen food is ok And the hostel contains gym also for extra paid.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the alumni are also helpful for us one of our alumni who works in CISCO also provided us a workshop on cloud computing in amazon web service. and many alumni are helpful they come and tell their experience of their placement.

Admission

I got admission to this college through the management quota. I have paid one lakh four thousand eight hundred every year only on academics and they took the common entrance exam rankings also for my admission where I got 95000 rankings so I choose the option of management quota

Faculty

Good faculty (that too ISE faculty is best) and every faculty is close with the student and friendly with the student and they solve the doubt and the faculty was good also when the NBA visited our college

Is NIAT worth the hype? My honest student review

Likes

You actually get to do things instead of just listening to lectures
The learning environment feels quite active
We have good exposure to the tech industry

Dislikes

The workload can get too intense sometimes
Not everything feels like a traditional college experience
The overall cost is a concern as it is a bit high

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the NIAT curriculum around four out of five. In my opinion, it is good that the curriculum is not only based on theoretical studies. The inclusion of coding, projects, assignments, and practical knowledge is quite engaging for the students, as they can apply the acquired information in practice. Additionally, I find the curriculum up to date compared to the standard Btech syllabus, which mainly focuses on theoretical background. However the curriculum could have fewer assignments, as some of them are rather time consuming and require additional study to achieve a better understanding of a particular subject.

The approachable faculty, friendly peers and the freedom to explore were one of the few things I really appreciated about our college
Our campus life is all about us, how much we decide to explore and how much we decide to keep things to ourself
The placement services and the support provided are really useful because I belong to mechanical branch and the placement rate of mechanical branch is quite high, so Obv I really appreciate the effort from the placement office.

Dislikes

The building is dusty sometimes, and also the building doesn't have a lift.
Coming to the campus amenities, drinking water is not available.
Because I belong to 29th batch, our batch are the batch to face the new syllabus, so we don't have any previous year question paper, model question paper, so accademic pressure is high.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course curriculum is very relevant for real life problems, it has a lot to do with application level knowledge, so our syllabus is very efficient for all engineering students, it gives us optimum knowledge and the right amount of liberty for us to explore our own interests besides our accademics.

My Honest Review of My College

Likes

The Opportunity for Sports is very Good as there are many games available.
Support for the new project ideas and building them
The environment is very Greenish and is beautiful in every season

Dislikes

The Curriculum is very hectic and also the students face issue in keeping up with curriculum.
Not All teachers are convincing, as some of them don't deliver the concepts correctly.
Washrooms usually don't have water in here, especially in the morning

Placement Experience:

- The students become eligible for placements from the 6th sem itself. - There are lot of companies ranging from Samsung to Infosis to TCS which provide a package ranging from 4LPA to 34LPA. - Highest Package (This year): 34LPA and Lowest is 4LPA. - Students placement stats: Around 80% students get placed - My plan is to get into a good Product Based Company after my degree.

RVITM - Everything you need to know before joining!

Likes

The lab equipment is good. The chemistry lab is well equipped and the other labs have all the software needed for a specific subject.
The library is really nice. It offers pretty much all the books you'll ever need to gain extra knowledge of your course.
The faculty and the crowd are good. Cannot speak for other branches but in my branch faculty is decent and the crowd is amazing.

Dislikes

The campus is small. One football/cricket ground and a tennis/basketball pitch is all that is there in the college.
The fests are boring. I have attended 3 fests so far and although it has its positives they were boring for the most part.
The placement scene is not the best. Most students join for placements and the companies that come have reduced from the previous years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally, I was interested in ECE course since I liked working around chips and was intrigued by how they worked, which is what led me to choosing this course. The curriculum is not the best for real-world applications since the syllabus is pretty outdated. The teaching does involve smart boards and can be visual as well, but it can be utilized better by the professors. A semester lasts for around 5 months, with the last month only involving SEE (Semester End Examinations) and the first four months consisting of 2 CIE tests in the 2nd and 4th months. It also involves practical examinations.

KSIT - A good college with everything mixed level.

Likes

Good teachers, very friendly & teaching is good.
Easy to travel due to multiple transports.

Dislikes

Small infrastructure as the area is too small.
Not have ground to play when students are free

Placement Experience:

The on-campus usually starts in 6th Semester. A company called MathCo was the first company it came for the role of analyst. Around 5-7 people got selected. The average package would be usually around 4-4.5 LPA, but highest package was 6.25 from PlanetSpark for role of Sales. The percentage is nearly to 10-12%. After degree, get a job and work for atleast 2 years for learning current trends is my basic thought as of now.

ISE department is clean and well maintained

From the 6th and 7th semester students are eligible gor campus placements. Students are asked to apply for the campus placements from the career development department of the college according to the marks. Some companies visited are like jspider, qspider, Xworkz, kodnest, Infosys, 3 q sutantra, toyota, triveni,idea infinity,edgeverve, eton ,dfm technology, tata elaxi, enventure and many more. And highest package in 8 to 12 LPA. The students are placed according to the companies requiments min 20 students are placed outof 50 students My plan is to get a good, high paying job after completing my graduation.

ya the overall infrastructure is good and company placements there was well wishers in that time
teaching is not what i expected but good
mentorship quality is ok,faculty expertise is ok ,profeeional department is medium

they where strict and needed some cultural event for every month of one year
they dependent for notes in their classes where this is not i am interested
they will call for the phone for every wrong things to tell their parents

Not worth my life

Probably nothing.. the only thing I enjoyyy is while traveling to clg and returning.

Dislikes

Very strict towards attendance... That too it's not 75% it's 85% !!!!
Few lectures are very boring and not at all useful
Labs are not at all useful ... More broken computer than working computers!

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course I adopted since I couldn't do my neet. In 2nd year I thought of taking CSE . I GOT MANY SEATS IN OTHER COLLEGES FOR OTHER COURCES. But I wanted to adopt only CSE based . I mean social or economical or design thinking and scientific foundation.. these courses are of no use while learning engineering so this might be the drawback . Exams are conducted very strictly in our clg and I appreciate that !

It’s Okay to be not Okay

Being an Neet aspirant I failed to get a seat in the medical after taking a year drop and the next option that left for me was engineering.soo bcz of Neet my cet didn't went good and didn't get good ranking. Apart from this college the currently i am pursuing u have applied for 3 other colleges one is Sahyadri, st.joseph,and mite.due to ranking difference I couldn't get seat in those colleges. Those three college was the most preferred to me and Canara was an extra option for me but unfortunately I got seat here in all the three rounds that made me feel so disappointing. Why I think the rest 3 colleges are better then Canara is because of the location the college located and the locality and compared to Canara the other three colleges had good placements and the students that come to those three colleges have a good mindset and would have helped me to improvise myself but here in this college we will find 60-70% of gsb students and students from villages who r rather worried about the future developing changes in the world or knowledge on the technical thing or the technology they r just focused on clearing the subject of the exams that's it ....Read More
