Remarks

College is good in all aspects. the college has so much greenery. In college, there is no violence at all. The environment is clean. Cooperative Staff and students as well. But sometimes some of faculties and guards are rude to students which I personly dont like so college have to take proper action on them otherwise the college is so good, well reputated.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This is an autonomous college so They can change their course according to students' interests. The college is under Punjab technical university Jalandhar but their course curriculum is totally dependent on the college itself. The exam structure is that there are two times MSTs in one semester and one-time end semester exam. End sem exam holds 60% and msts, attendance, behavior, etc holds 40% in total.

Placement Experience

4

The jobs and placements of the Guru Nanak Dev Engineering college are very good and confirmed very well. As per the seniors, there is a large scope of jobs and placements in well known companies, not only in Punjab, but also outside Punjab. Out of all the colleges in North India GNDEC, ludhiana is the best for jobs and placements

College Events

4.5

There are many events celebrated in our college like youth festival, athrava, Anand Utsav, annual function, Technical fest, Hackerthan festival which are well organized by the committee members. Moreover who take part in that events got certificates and grace marks in exams which is a big benefit to students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I am very happy to say that the fee structure of my college is feasible and many scholarships are there for students to get fee concession. There are many students who cannot afford the high fees to study well. so this is the college where everyone can study at an affordable fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

College can avail loan facilities to students which are so good for every student. There are scholarshils to students but the number of students who can get is less because the criterias are hard. there is also a fee waiver scheme by PTU which is too good.

Campus Life

3.5

Other than the academics of the college, the college is well-reputed for its extracurricular activities which include the various communities like NSS, NCC, Gurudwara community, and many more, which help the students to learn and gather knowledge about the social life. The contribution of students in sports of GNDEC is great over the past couple of years

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel building is 7 yrs old with 8 floors with 150 rooms. In one room 3 students live. In infrastructure 1 chair, bed, and the table is given to each student. A bathroom is attached to the room and a geyser facility which is very good. Filtered water on every floor.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni network of my college I think is vey good as many high-ranked officers are pass out from that college and the college also organize alumini meet. senior students are also very helpful as they guide us that how to manage time to study and a senior student hostel is front of our hostel which is a best thing for us.

Admission

I gave jee the main exam and I have got a good rank. Then After that, I started a search on google to find an engineering college in Punjab with high ranked by the NAAC team. I see Guru Nanak dev engineering college in Ludhiana is the best and oldest college with all engineering courses. Also, the fee is normal so I apply for that college online under PTU counseling as under this counseling I can get a seat in the fee waiver which is a big benefit and I got a seat in that college in the electrical branch.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of the college is very good all faculties are well qualified and most of the faculties are phd. And completed there studies from the biggest intitutes of india also some completed from this college. All faculties have good experience in there subjects.

The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
