Remarks

A good college with absolute trained faculties. We have a good future scope. They are most helping and we are always having a good vibe around our college because of green trees in and around campus. We also received the cleanest college award.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is purely based on barathiyar university in coimbatore. Our college is an autonomous college so we have our own set of rules. The exams are conducted once a 6 months. They are so challenging.

Placement Experience

The placement cell is very strong here they have worked very hard. They help us very much and we have very hard training to get placed in a company. They are providing many internship.I have been selected in a company and my stipend for 4 month intership is 10,000 per month.

College Events

The main event is SceNaRio.which resembels our colleges former name SNR sons college. The scenario is one of the best intercolagiate function in coimbatore. There are also many other functions they are manavar mandram function etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is very feasable and affordable it is around 25,000 for a semester which is 6 months and for a year it comes nearly around 50-55 thousand. It takes around 2-2.5 lacks to complete a UG degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college nearly discount 50 percent of fees to the disabled good learning student. If requested they also take full incharge of a paticular student as they are very concernd about a childs education.

Campus Life

3.5

We have a very good lab which accomodates all computers.Since i am from feild of Computer Science i only know about my lab. There are pretty much upto 300 computers. They also help us to participate in all kind of sports event.

Hostel Facilities

No i am a day scholar.but i heared that our college hostel is not that good. They arent much supportive. They also say that food is not upto level. The fee structure of hostel is around 55-60 thousand. This is also a big flaw of our college.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

We do not have that type of alumini support in our batch unfortunately.but our senior batch made a good use of their seniors they we in touch and also they helped many of them to get placed in a good reputed company.

Admission

I got admitted in the college by the help of a professor who is working there. They were very helpful to me.Since i scored very low marks in the 12th board exams i was rejected in top colleges. But they gave me good studies and i am currently placed in a company

Nit Trichy B.Sc. B.ed. student review

girls to boys ratio is 1:1 is we consider all three branches with some courses with more male while other having for female.more or less the ratio is near 1:1
the most important thing for you is there is close to zero discrimination for you , whether you want to join any club or perform anything you are equivalent to students with others bachelor degree
octagon and library are the two things which are good as library is considered the biggest library among all nit's while octagon having 800 computers for students.NSO ground is also well maintained with the beautiful mig fighter jet to take cool phot

Dislikes

for first years hostel are well maintained if compared with others but don't expect much from hostel atlast this is a government college.in first year 3 to 4 person sharing room are there which was build to carry 2 person.
Quant and entrepreneur thing is not there as you might expect by seeing the nirf 9 ranking but it is not zero .they are growing clubs like profNITT and Sigma are young and they could do better
curfew timing for girls are 9 or 9:30 pm i guess be it any year. for boys ,only freshers have curfew with timing 9:30 pm.other than that any student can't step outside the college after 10 pm without the sign out form.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as maths is the mother of all science and quite related to other fields so it opens a lot of door for me like mba ,mtech ,phd or any other things. this course is specifically designed for becoming teachers so keep that in mind before taking this course as they are not flexible in changing curriculum or adding something for the sake of students as of now. also you will be having more working days compared to other courses with 80 percent mandatory attendance.after first sem you will get 1 week holiday and after 2nd sem you will get 50.days holiday and after first year you can expect 20 days holiday for winters and 50 days holiday for summers. you will get a lot of time to study for exams. before ct 1 you can expect 2 months and then atleast a month for ct 2 and endsems. cons are that you don't have the right to choose minor or electives like btech students.you have to compulsory study all three science .i.e. maths , physics, chemistry.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.
