Remarks

Overall the college is good if you want to do something in life it will help you to explore and has good surrounding , the college campus also has canteen and a CCD which will attract you too. I will give a full plus.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college is autonomous and has its own procedure of examination and follows is own role and regulations. The exam structure is quite well we have to face two exam in a semester. One is midsem with twenty marks and semester with seventy marks.

Placement Experience

College rarely give stipends. But we have opportunity for internships. Though our college is far from cities like Bhubaneswar and rourkela we welcomed very less company but we attends pool campus in Bhubaneswar.

College Events

College celebrates annual sports competition names ilumina , and celebrate technical fest Samavesh and the most famous of the state VASSAUNT the only cultural fest. Each branch also have separate branch fest too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is feasible as compared to other famous institute but last year there was a hike of two thousand rupees overall fee is feasible and not that much expensive. But the hike of two thousand can be reduced.

Fees and Financial Aid

The loan facility is available in college. It is given by SBI Burla branch and it's totally easy and students friendly to get an education loan with least interest. College campus has syndicate Bank which also provides education loans.

Campus Life

Each branch have their well furnished lab with all modern equipments. College have 10 to 12 clubs which organise different activities in different occasions. The college also has its own gymnasium and a auditorium too.

Hostel Facilities

Opted for hostel. The infrastructure is 90s as we still living in the old hostel but college has built new hostel which is 600+ seated and it will be functional in next year. The fee for hostel is fourteen thousand per semester.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

The senior and junior relationship is the best one in the college across the country. You can't find this type relation any where. They teach you to grow , teach you to fly and teach you to how to live life.

Admission

Jee Main entrance and with the rank counseling through OJEE. After successfully document verification they give college confirmation. Then they will call for the admission process after the fee payment.

Faculty

All the facilities are from reputed institution of the country and each branch have good faculty but except some of them. It your luck who is teaching you in which semester. But some of the faculty are really gems.

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Likes

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

Teaching style of faculty is excellent and related to practical based
Infrastructure of collage is just excellent and view is stunning

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem of completion eligible to sit in placement called by campus placement in university. Companies like accenture, techmahindra,tech bee,and wipro comes for hiring. Highest package till now is 29 lpa and lowest is 1.5 lpa. Average package is 5lpa. Mostly 80 percentage of students getting placement from campus drive. My plan after getting degree is getting job from campus drive.

Likes

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

Buckle up Journey in Vssut

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains. The admission process is through the OJEE COUNSELLING. It is the counselling only for the students of odisha and anyone out of Odisha appearing the OJEE examination. VSSUT as seen by 2nd years

I applied for outr Bhubaneswar and vssut burla. I was getting electrical branches in both the colleges. But in outr there are not enough hostels for student neither the campus is that much attracting. O the other hand vssut have total 11 hostel and can accommodate every student studying and the campus is also somewhat good. But for csit branches there are not enough facilities in vssut To get admission here you have to get a rank in jee main exam and have to go through ojee counselling. To get to cse branch your all India rank must be within 1lakhs and for electrical branch its about 1.5lakhs and for lower branches production rank does not matter that must there are seats pending vacant you can get them via spot counselling...Read More
