Remarks

This one was life changing decision of my life. It just boosted my confidence to an extent that I was sure about achieving my career goals.

Entrance Preview

KCET was the entrance exam I took. I opted for this particular college because it one amongst the top engineering colleges in karnataka.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course had all the important subjects of biotechnology like biochemistry, immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and basic required subjects like thermo dynamics, heat transfer, mass and momentum transfer. The electives offered were from all other branches of engineering like Python programming language, machine drawing, mathematics, etc

Internships Opportunities

The college has incubation centre for this. Companies like IBM , NAVYA BIOLOGICALS, SANKALP SEMICONDUCTORS came to college . Stipend varied from 10000 to 20000 depending on the area of internship.

Placement Experience

3

Placement varies with the fields. Overall the placements percentage is about 85%. The highest package offered was about 6LPA by informatica. Companies like TCS, INFOSYS , ROBERT BOSCH, TAGUE TECH and many more are the ones which come to campus every year.

College Events

2.5

Technical fest called national technical fest is conducted every year where in there's a participation of students from various colleges . Cultural events are part of this fest .its on a national level and is much talked about fest in the region.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. The merit students don't have to face any expensive fee structure. It was around 28000 for meritorious students and management quota fee varies with branches of engineering

Fees and Financial Aid

No idea about loan or scholarship. but the college administration provides ample time to students unable to fee at a stretch.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is the most talked about thing in the city ...it's like a soul of the city !!! The college is diamond on the crown of north karnataka. Labs ,extra curricular activities, sports, events were all really well organised. Culture is taken utmost care of College is really helpful towards students whose economic status isn't in par with the fee structure.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No idea about the hostel in detail as I am a locality, but all i know is hostel rooms are spacious ,well ventilated and food offered in mess is also good because I had friends staying in hostel and they never had any sort of compliants.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is really good. The college holds alumni meetings on regular basis, where in we get to communicate with people from different fields and sectors campus.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is quite good each semester has two minor internal exams and one semester end exam. Labs too aren't hectic. Twice a week labs are conducted for two different subjects.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is very much dedicated towards better understanding of basic concepts. The student friendly atmosphere created by faculty members enables student to focus on the subjects and have a hold on basic concepts and technologies emerging

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally, I was interested in ECE course since I liked working around chips and was intrigued by how they worked, which is what led me to choosing this course. The curriculum is not the best for real-world applications since the syllabus is pretty outdated. The teaching does involve smart boards and can be visual as well, but it can be utilized better by the professors. A semester lasts for around 5 months, with the last month only involving SEE (Semester End Examinations) and the first four months consisting of 2 CIE tests in the 2nd and 4th months. It also involves practical examinations.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course I adopted since I couldn't do my neet. In 2nd year I thought of taking CSE . I GOT MANY SEATS IN OTHER COLLEGES FOR OTHER COURCES. But I wanted to adopt only CSE based . I mean social or economical or design thinking and scientific foundation.. these courses are of no use while learning engineering so this might be the drawback . Exams are conducted very strictly in our clg and I appreciate that !
