Remarks

Alumni network of our college is extremely very powerful.Faculties are average or below average.infrastructure is average.college building is average.The positive thing about my college is fees structure is very cheap and affordable.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum should be more practical oriented rather than just being theoretical.Whole course were divided into eight semester.Each semester were consist of presemester exam ,viva and semester exam.

Placement Experience

30% of the students get placement from the college.companies like Vedanta,tata motors,tata power, l&t construction,jindal and steel etc visit our college for recruiting students.p placement scenario in our college is not very descent

College Events

The first fest which we celebrate in the first year of our college is fresher of the year competition.Then we get a branch party from immediate seniors of our branch.Beside this,every club organise their own fest depending on the field they work.for example model club which is a technical club of our college organise techie of the year contest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Each semester cost around 10000 as college fee,2000 as examination fee,18000 as mess fees.Beside this,we have to pay 1500 as hostel fees after every one year and 5000 as other miscellaneous charges. Fees structure is quite cheap as compared to other private engineering colleges

Fees and Financial Aid

Top three candidates of every branch were offered scholarship every semester.Beside this , financially weak students were also offered scholarships in our college. Loan facility is also available for financially weaker student.

Campus Life

In our college there were twelve clubs .some of them are 1)model club- technical club which organises several technical workshops.2) Leo club-cultural clubs which organises events like fresher of the year competition.3) rotract club- club which organises social events.4) prayas india-club which help poor people by giving free tuition ,also organises events like rainbow

Hostel Facilities

Hostel fees were around 1500 after every one year.Hostel infrastructure were extremely poor . Condition of the hostel were very bad.Staffs are very arrogant and they misbehave with the students .They never take the problem faced by students seriously.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of our college is extremely powerful.Most of our seniors are very successful and placed outside India.some are placed in reputed government engineering jobs .Some are placed in PSU(public sector union)

Admission

I appeared in Jharkhand combined entrance competitive examination(JCECE)2014 and cleared the examination with common merit list (cml) rank 254.Then I was called for counselling process in namkum Ranchi.Then according to the rank secured by the candidate seats were alloted

Faculty

Some faculties are extremely cooperative whereas some are not.i cannot generalise the kind of faculty I had in my college.But there were hardly any faculty in my college who could please the students with his expertise.

Likes

Campus location is good but there is shortage of shops.
Professor are good and supportive and you can keep bike sk questions whenever you needed.

Dislikes

Mess food is not so good and if you taking hostel it is compulsory to take mess
Transpotation facility is not so good and you

Placement Experience:

From third semester students are allowed for internship and about the placement is about 5 to 6 lpa .Many students here are preparing for government exam like gate ,ies isro ,barc etc. And if you are not satisfied by placement from campus you can try off campus.

At the starting phase of college , we have a beautiful campus (which is not ours actually , its on rent ) loacted at Namkum, Ranchi. known as JUT campus, but after that things are not good.
Some what I liked the sports culture, but we don't have any sports Club yet.

Dislikes

Placements(actually there are students who are the coordinators for the placement group , there is no any particular advisor or any TPO head is there earlier...now there is one TPO coordinator but things are becoming worst there.
No grounds for any sports, we don't have badminton court indoors, so we have to wait for wind to settle before we can play outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my branch is Electronics and communication engineering but my major interest lies in development area , i have gained all the skills in my college by my own taking some guidance from the seniors as they are very helpful and supporting. Improvements in course curriculum could be like they have to basically add one more course or any training program to help students for making skills and teaching them for their placements.(apart of the course , i am saying not because i am from ECE department , its common from any branch student)

I like my college

Likes

I like their rules and regulation of college.
I like the annual sports, event, and cultural program.
Regular classes, labs, and time to time internal exams

Dislikes

Thing that I don't like is hostal cleaning, mesh food.
I think there is more rules and regulation for senior boys hostels.
From senior boys hostel they pass some comment to the girls

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the proper mindset from the class I chose to study btech. The areas for improvement in the course curriculum are more labs to be conducted proper smart classes to be held.

Likes

the return to investment in this college is very fair.
the infrastructure in this college is very good and still developing rapidly .
the fee is very affordable and the surrounding market is also cheap.

Dislikes

the reservation is very high and sc & st community gets so much advantage .
the college is located at outskirts of main city Dhanbad .
there is some sort of ragging culture which is also present here. Talking about the girls to boys ratio it is 25 to 75.

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of BIT Sindri is quite impressive because the core branch placement is too good . it offers around 90% placement to branch like mechanial , electrical , mining , metal. technical branch placement is also improving yearly.

Supportive professorers in all aspects..
Friends are very good and the very supportive

No night canteen to both the boys and girls in the hostel
Too much restructio to in the boys hostel
No night life the college...... Two much boring life

Likes

Infrastructure of the University is good enough and also going on for new building
Labs and machineries are updated and in good condition.
Non teaching staffs are helpful and genuine.

Dislikes

Administration make fake promises and discontinue.
Some staffs are egoistic don't think of any one.
Canteen food prices are not affordable. It is too expensive for middle class students.

Good university for those who want degree only not job as they will say 100 percent placement but never make their promises and yes they will also send you in depression so be strong and believe in your self.

I came to this college as a 2nd year lateral entry student . Its a semi government college . The area of improvement include insfarstructure and more faculty member as it has less faculty member than required .

Likes

the greenery of college campus is very nice
the environment of the college is very good
college library staffs are very well behaved

Dislikes

the faculty is not up to the mark , u will not be satisfied by their teaching
student intake is very very less so you will experience less competition
the college campus is beautiful yet very small

Placement Experience:

yes campus placement is offered . the average package is about 7 to 8 lakhs in C.S.E , the placement rate is about 90% for which above 7.5 CGPA is required . The placement rate for E.C.E and E.E.E are also decent .

Experience of an undergrad

Likes

college have great environment good facilities needed as per requirements ,college also have good spacious hostels and we can say better food comparing to what i heard from friends of different colleges ,the evening time is soothing and relaxing
a great senior junior interaction culture and memorable friendships letting you forget the world outside the campus, every festivals are celebrated with joy and fun ,from leaving a family to moving to another one you would love.
some of lectures are quite boring but some will amaze you with visionary thoughts ,every faculty will guide you if they see you lagging behind the course ,some extra sessions are also conducted, introducing new fields to think out of the box

Dislikes

things which i wish might get some improvements are sports facilities big grounds for sports activities students encouragement towards co-curricular activitiy, co-curricular activities get more support to come out with glorious and imagining skills.
fests do contain fun but due to time constraints before fests planning of amazing activities becomes difficult thus leading same things going on repeating, absence of good team leaders leading activities plays major role in activity failure and bored
night out time is a small problem, the area close to college is developing hence not having nearby much places for fun and chillouts spending your free time relaxing.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is average as during 2023-24 it was recession period all over the colleges are facing placements lags but still college students managed to achieve 22 lakhs+ off campus as well as 16 lakhs on campus placement.The college reached his highest placement of 51 lakh during 2023 ,the average package is 5-6 lakh and the placements percentage are 85 percent for cse students,the students completing 7th semester are eligible for on campus placement drive as well as off campus,some of the prominent companies visited are Microsoft, cognizant, samsung, byjus,infosys and 50 more.I will prepare for gate and after that i will try to get on and off campus placements which i will find better accept the offer.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

I could have gotten admitted in NIFFT Ranchi and by the 2k24 cut offs I could have gotten BIT mesra Chemical alonwith a plethora of colleges on AKTU or MPDTE counclling.I also qualifies CUET with a decent rank enough to secure a college in the DU south campus. The primary reason I chose this college was the Return on investment.Even withot any fees waiver the entire fee here is close to 4 lakhs for a span of 4 years which is very low compared to the average package of the college.Als the branch Mechanical has a decent scope in the GATE exams. First of all this college is only for the students of Jharkhand.If you wanna get admitted here and belong to the general category you need a percentile from 87 to 94.5.If you are from other categores the cutoff goes even lower.The admission process is quite simple.You fill a form which will ask you for a security deposit of 5000 on the jcece website.After this you will be eleigibke to do choice filling.You will be alloted a branch based of your rank and choice.Forgetting admission you will have to vsit the college annd submit all your documents.You can upgrade your branch in the later rounds.There are 3 rounds and 2 special rounds....Read More

i chose this college over the other because it was convinient for me to travel to this coolege it is near my home town. not only this the college annual expense is very less as compared to different colleges. this is also a government college basically a state government college . i did not get any rejection to the colleges i applied for but this college i thought is best for me. To get admission in BIT Sindri the jee mains result is important. Based on jee mains a Jharkhand based councelling is done where students who applied must be a resident of jharkhand get a common merit list rank and based on that rank one gets admission in different colleges that comes under the jharkhand state . So my college comes under jharkhand government which is following jee mains percentile /ranks for admission. For general category students Scoring above 95 percentile gives them opportunity to have cse branch and gradually decreases for other branches.
