Course Curriculum Overview

The college provides the bachelor's degree in arts commerce and science. In order to get promoted to the next year one need to qualify end semester that carries 80%weightage and internal assessment that carries 20% of weightage.

College Events

The college has lots of activities like annual sports and cultural activities.It also has a magazine called Digboi Mahavidyalaya Alochani that keeps the students informed of the latest happenings in and around the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure varies between boys and girls. Commerce/Arts HS Boys-6215 HS Girls-5615 Science HS Boys-7035 HS Girls-6315 B.Sc Hons-7485 B.sc pass-7305 So the fees is quite feasible and affordable.

The college provides many scholarships like:- National merit scholarship State merit scholarship OBC scholarship MOBC scholarship SC/ST Scholarship. So the college is doing great in providing scholarship thus working in favour of EWS of India.

Campus Life

Yes there are many cultural activities and sports.Indoor outdoor game facilities.Common Boys and Girls Room, Library,Book bank scheme, Botanical garden, placement cell,and they are all average. Looking at the fee structure the facilities provided are quite good and value for money is descent.

Hostel Facilities

In order to avail the hostel facilities,you need to be first selected on the basis of your merit. The hostel is under strict supervision of the warden .The hostel has all the basic facilities. The infrastructure too is nice and hefty.

Admission

I got admission into this college through 10+2 marks. You need to apply online and check the official link for further updates and once you find your name,you need to report to the college for verification of documents. Be careful because the hostel facilities will also be provided on the basis of merit list.

Faculty

The faculty is good.The college has 22 M.Phil and 16 PhD holders and some other teachers who are doing research work thus getting a lot of development in research field.They also maintain a good relationship with the students and are very helpful.

I would rate in quite highly in terms of both relevant and competative the subjects are well aligned and current industry standards and current needs it includes both theoretical need and both practical need at the same time..

I like the infrastructure of our college.
Our college have enough rooms and halls to accommodate huge number of students
Digitalisation in teaching methods in all classrooms.

Dislikes

Toilet is still not clean as promised by our GS.
Lack of equipments in practical laboratories.
Cleanliness and hygiene are a bit off track.

The course prepares well for students as the acedemic results is always good which will make gratutides well equipped for jobs. Some sections of the course should be updated to meet the latest technology, more guests lectures and the interships should be provided to the students. The exams clustering of multiple exams should be within times which relases unneccsary stress, the exams are conducted easy to insane which is very challenging for the students.

Our department (botany) has well experienced and knowledgeable professor's who guided us both practically and theruotically which help us to gain knowledge at a faster rate
The most important thing is that our department always go for practical experience i.e.through trip.
The department often conducts seminars and guest lecturers

Dislikes

As a student of Aryavidyadpeeth college, it is very difficult to be part of our college,as the department is very popular
Due to high popularity, the college campus is very crowded, which sometimes leads to overcrowding
There is a very limited seats in hostel, the outstation students faces many difficulties to stay nearby the college.

All the faculty are very learned and helpful. They make an effort and are very invested in our progress
The infrastructure is very modern with multiple laboratories and conference halls. Construction work is going on for increasing the campus area and buildings
Apart from departmental libraries, the college boasts a central library with a large collection of books, articles and journals

Dislikes

Need for a separate parking area for students
Canteen and cafeteria space should be increased
Seat capacity should be increased in the common room

The requirements for 1st semester students is to choose 7 subjects. Core subject, Minor subject, SEC (skill enhancement course), IDC (inter disciplinary course), AEC (ability enhancement course) and two compulsory VAC (value added courses) of EVS and AIS (ancient Indian studies)

Entrance Preview:

Firstly, we had to apply for respective departments which one wants to take an honours. Then ,cut off percent is taken out and students are given admission to that department as honours student.

I had applied for many other colleges but my first priority was this college so I took admission on this college and I never regret after getting admission in this college. A great college with great authority

In my research, I have found that Digboi college is the better than other colleges of our tinsukia district. I have applied many college for further studies like doomdooma college, tinsukia college etc. and I got addmission call from these colleges but I choose digboi college for further studies, because digboi college has many new and valueable courses and there is a very beautiful campus. the addmission process was very simple, during addmission we have select one major and minor subject and after that we should pay the addmission fees in college counter.
