CHRISTIAN COLLEGE, KERALA.
There is a separate cell in our college under the name of Capability Enhancing Program which guides students in their career of interest and provides coaching for competitive exams as well. Students benefit a lot every year from this cell and the members and coordinators are very helpful and supportive.
We were given an admission form which we were supposed to fill and attach the necessary documents along with it. The students will be selected on the basis of the percentage of marks they score in their 12th grade. There will be a merit list which will be put up in the college. The students are considered for merit list only if they have paid the fees for the academic year.
There are separate accommodation facilities for men and women. Girls hostel is a bit huge and can accommodate up to 90-100 students. Boys hostel can give space to around 15-20 students, college staff included. Wardens make sure there is discipline and a code of conduct maintained by the students of the hostel. Mess facilities are available for the students.
The faculty of our department of Economics is one of the most experienced faculty in the college. The teachers are well experienced and very talented. They have won several awards and achievements for their work in their respective fields and have done a great job as teachers as well. We look forward to the classes as they make the classes engaging and interesting.
Our college has a good number of labs and facilitates up to date equipment to the laboratories. Students also engage in many extra curricular activities which throw light on saving the environment, taking initiatives and encouraging students to do the same by establishing various clubs like Biodiversity Clubs and Annual Rainwater Harvesting.
Our college gives importance to the annual college festival and cultural festivals that keep coming throughout the year. But the most crucial event which our college sees equivalent to a ritual is the rain water harvesting event, which is carried out by every student with the help of teachers every year. In honor of Mother Earth, this activity takes place every year.
