Remarks

Should promote Sports and Arts Activities a bit more as academic Some of the lab equipments are poorly maintained The playground condition is not good enough The college area could be more tidy and clean

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is well and adaptable for the students There is 8 semester in your four year of graduation course, each year having two semesters The odd and even semester exam will normally be conducted on December and April* / May*

Many companies like Infosys,Tata,IBM etc, are recruiting students from our college.In 2019 a record of 40 students were recruited by Infosys There is no internships provided by college.As a part of university guidelines we have to done 2 internship, and it is not provided by college, this have to done by our own

College Events

National Level Tech Fest will be held in every year at the month of March Film Festival is there,showing some good films to students Onam program is the one college celebrate every year, with some cultural programs

The fee structure in feasible 35000+Caution deposit for the Merit list students 65000+Caution deposit for the students who got admission in Management quota Rupees 100000 for the NRI quota It seems to be feasible as compare to self financing college

Our College provided the Scholarship named Merit cum Means Scholarship Also having a fee reduction for the student's who secured the top three position in the consecutive engineering streams There is no loan facility offered by college

Extra curricular activities are going well in college. Labs have enough equipments and competent staff to guide us through it. Sports and Arts are conducting in every year. The selected students are promised to participate in university level

Alumnus are really helpful.They bringing out the job vacancies in different nation.They helped by guiding and providing information about the job sectors and varying demand of branches.Some of the alumnus pushing for the recruitment process in our college

Admission

After the entrance exam result published, the next step is the allotment process. Through merit list allotment i got admission in College Of Engineering Adoor.I paid the fee for the fist year and done some paper works

Faculty

The faculties were superb. They are really well experienced. Helped me a lot in academics. Provided a good guidance in project activties.Have deep knowledge in the subjects.They were always available and have good attitude towards students

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

The overall environment here is great. Students coming from different backgrounds make us more capable of meeting new people who have different ideas and that makes things easier,apart from achieving technical greatness ,curtain clubs are here
These clubs gives opportunities to gain new skills and to showcase our existing skills, sports clubs are also present which will help improve skills in sports
Cultural clubs , technical clubs are also present here to aid in your interest

Placement Experience:

Upon reaching s7 students are invited for campus placement but they have to pass different criteria to become eligible for attending the interview, a minimum cgpa of 7.5 and academic skills a these are the basic requirements and an aptitude test will be given and in further selection these criteria are looked. I plan on pursuing a job after completing by btech. More than half the students in a batch are getting placed usually.

Likes

college provides nice venue good study environment
provide library facilities and lab facilities
provide internet facilities like wifi and average classrooms

It is so far from the main road a lot to walk

Placement Experience:

Students can get internships from First sem. Students become eligible from 7th sem for campus placement . The average package begins from 15000/- to most highest package of 25000/-. The percentage of students getting paced is 20-30%.I have been planiing to go to higher studies.

Campus, comparing from nearby college this college had good visual beauty may be because of the college been part 2-3 movies. Visually the college are too good with nature

Dislikes

The Placement is weak as there is no opportunity to get a proper core based job from what you studied mainly job opportunities come from call centres which doesnt require Btech to study. This personally felt too sad to be here to get placed in core.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As of the college comes under Ktu syllabus it has already has demerits of the university. Curriculum basically doesnot provide a realworld application uses. Just creates a knowledge on the course (and thats doubt) We need to courses outside the college to get the core jobs outside

The college provides a good atmosphere to truly get a job in the competetive world if we are willing to work for it.
They heavily monitor attendance to make sure that you take your classes so that you perform well in your exams
The facilities provided by the college are good as there are several labs and workshops for hands-on experience

Dislikes

The campus life can get boring and it feels like we are in a rat race.
Some teachers can be a bit apathetic towards the students.
The number events that encourage social interactions in not many

The students are elegible for campus placements from the 7th semester and almost all students get placements provided they don't have any subject yet to clear at the time of placement. There are several companies that visit the college for recruiting including but not limited to TCS, CTS,etc,.

The campus is a package pf greenery and the culteral events conducted there are good at the end
The faculties are good and maintain a decent teaching style
The sports activities are well maintained here

Dislikes

The hostel mess and the food is a bit not good from my opinion
The hostel doesn't have adequate wifi to accommodate the entire strength of students residing there

Yes the college is providing placement facilities and the College has its own placement and industrial relations wing that is said to study about the current industrial requirements and provide the adequate amount of training for the students

I choose this college because it was the best college in my area and I wanted to stay near my house. I applied to a lot of colleges like CET, Barton Hill and I am got admission there but I didn't go. I wanted to stay near my parents. Which was a good decision. I got into all the colleges I gave but I choose this college. When comparing with other Colleges , my college doesn't have much campus area or the strength, or that much exposure but it had heart and a bunch of really good facutilies. The admission process is like this After 12th you have to write KEAM , you have to qualify that is 12 marks and according to your rank you can get seats here. Merit seats - below 25k Management seat- above 25k You have to apply online and after the allotment you can come to the college and complete the admission, the faculty and the senior students will help u through this process. An Overview of My College

I had applied to colleges under IHRD which includes the Model Engineering College, College of Engineering Chengannur and College of Engineering Attingal (CEAL) and College of Engineering Adoor. When the results of the first allotment came out, I got into CEAL. I temporarily got admission into that college and waited for the next allotment. I got into the college of Engineering Adoor in the second allotment and I took admission permanently since it was nearer to my place and I also got affordable hostel facilities. Also, there were good and on-time public transport services available. I got into the BTech Computer Science stream in the Merit Quota. To get admission in the first or second allotments themselves, you need a valid Keam score and rank anywhere between 15000 and 25000 atleast. You will be able to get into the merit quota with a good rank if not getting into the management quota is also easy. The Government College of Engineering, Adoor (CEA) is a college in Adoor, Pathanamthitta District, Kerala, India, located 3 km from the town centre at Manakala. It is affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and is run under the aegis of the Institute of Human Resources Development, an institute of the government of Kerala.
