Remarks

The only good thing about the college is the infrastructure since it is relatively new college. Otherwise everything is bad such and new and inexperienced teachers. College feels like a prison and nobody is allowed inside the college once it is 9am and nobody is allowed to leave until 1 pm. Even final year students who don't have many classes. This actually stops students from visiting the college for and project work etc and have to do all the work elsewhere.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Old and not updated with current industry technology. Exam correction is not fair and they unnecessarily fail students just so that they pay revaluation money and later pass them. Sometimes incorrect evaluation also occurs. Even with photocopy proof some people do not pass or get expected marks.

Placement Experience

3

Placements only for computer science, IS, EC branches mainly. Every branch is forced to enter CS based jobs rather then core companies. Internship is provided but not reputable companies and sometimes is completely worthless. Internship is only for CS, IS, EC and students said that it was just like a class and not like an internship.

College Events

3.5

Fresher's day Sentia- annual event conducted by college Graduation ceremony Onam- celebration of festival in Kerala(student funded) Kannada rajostava event(student funded) Independence day Traditional day Branch entry conducted by various branches.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive for such a young college but infrastructure and facilities such as AC etc is available. 1.25 -1.75 lakhs for managament seat. College is accredited by NBA and NAAC after which the fees were increased to 1.7-2 lakhs. Also many extra fees and fines and levied from students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship are given by college based on marks and CGPA in year to backward castes, SC, ST and OBC. Various other scholarships are available but they are all for state government and central government.

Campus Life

4.5

Sports events are conducted by various branches led by students and college doesn't involve itself. Labs have good equipment but are old. Branches themselves conduct various events such as technical talks and finishing school programs etc but college doesn't provide money for these events. The money is collected from students of the various branches. For eg civil engineering students have to pay ?2500/person for an event next month.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

45,000 for 3 bedroom with attached bathroom. Infrastructure is good and new building but food is unbearable and at least 2-3 days a week we eat food from outside to survive. For AC room it is 70,000+.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni are invited for annual college program once a year. Senior students and first year students and mainly seperated and do not have much interaction. Alumni network is not existent and any connection between alumni and present students are one that they themselves formed.

Admission

Management seats require 1 lakh+ before. Now it's even more. Just pay money and enter. Minimum 12th CGPA is 6. So almost everyone can enter. For other seats CET rank(Karnataka state entrance exam) is used.

Faculty

3

Mostly young and inexperienced and they stay for 2 years maximum before leaving. Only experienced faculty are HODs of various departments and 1 or 2 professors. The faculty will just use the college for experience gaining and leave. Heavy burden is placed on the faculty by management.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
