Remarks
Positive:- 1. Best faculty. 2. Extra curricular activities and labs. 3. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus which is being modified every year. So, more focus on the practical knowledge and changing industry and technologies. 4. Projects for every subject Negative:- 1. Campus is little bit smaller. 2. Not a good placement for mechanical people.
Course Curriculum Overview
Currently the exam pattern is 70:30. That is 70 marks internal and 30 marks written test. The written test is objective type. And 70 marks are subdivided into other things like viva, course project, assignment. The important thing is that we have project for each semester. So a lot of technical and practical knowledge students will able to get from the project.
Placement Experience
Placement of vit are depend on the branch. Computer and IT branch have a very good placement. Average package of computer and IT students is around 9 LPA. But mechanical and electronics people don't get that much. Worst scenario is for mechanical people. Average package for mechanical is around 4 LPA and the placement is not upto the mark except computer and IT branch.
College Events
1. Vishwakarandak:- This is the technical event of VIT. This event includes all the activities like sport , social, entertainment, etc. In this event only our college students can participate. This event is held in the first semester. 2. Melange:- This is same as the event I had discussed earlier. The only difference is that, this event is not limited for vit students. Every student from other college can also participate in melange. Melang is held in second semester.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees of the vit college are little bit higher depending upon cast. As it has the highest NBA ratings. For open category students fees is 1,80,000. For OBC students fees is 90,000. For SC category it's around 5,000.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have not availed any scholarship. But the college does offer so many scholarships. It's not the college that gave scholarship but the college has its tie up with so many oraganizations like cyabge khushboo, Cummins India. So we can apply for scholarship and get them through the college.
Campus Life
Labs are good. Extra curricular activities is the main thing about our college as college organises two events every year. So, each student get the opportunity to participate in the events. There are so many technical, non-technical and sports as well as drama activities which students participate in and they are good. A lot of clubs are also there so, one can enhance their skills or hobbies and passion.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are very helpful. According to my experience they are like elder brothers. As college has several activities we happen to work together with seniors. If we join clubs then also seniors teach us. Alumni network is not that good.
Admission
I did diploma. On the basis of the diploma merit I got the admission. I did registration for the process. Diploma quota is different so according to our quota we have to do the process. We just need to confirm our admission after the college allotment according to the college and ARC schedule.
Faculty
Faculty of the college is too good. Minimum educational qualification for being vit teacher is M.Tech. A lot of teachers are having phd so the quality of education is very good. Many students from other countries also come to vit for graduation.
