Massive secrets of DAIICT

really i don't like entrance of my college. University like daiict should atleast have gaint and nice entrance. But one good thing is greenery of university. There are lost of tree in the campus and one can have very clean air.

Ya, course curriculum id nice at some level. But in my opinion my college authority has giving more importance research than industries. and course is mixed version of IT and EC so most of students do not want to study EC they are in college for IT( coding). But pressures from professor are such that we have to study communication. There are nicely structured core courses which are taught in colleges like IITs, NITs, etc. About the exam structure, there is semester system and a semester is almost of 4 months. there are three main exams in one semester called insem1, insem2 and endsem exams. in almost half of courses professor ask question from chapters taught in particular period means ask questions in insem1 exam from syllabus taught after insem1 exam and like that. i never show any course having multiple choice question- answer paper in my exams till now. Exam structure is pretty much good.

Current Placements of daiict are really very nice as compare to any other college of gujarat and even india. Most of (out of 300-350) students get offer(except 20-25) in placement process.Many high rated companies like Microsoft, Directi, Goldman sachs, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, amazon, spriklr, etc. total of 150 different companies was came for hiring. Daiict provide two type of interships (1) research internship (2) industrial internship. All the students have to do one these internship in 3rd year summer vacation. for industrial internship 10-15 come for that. about 50-60 students get industrial internship. rest do the research internship. i am not able to get industrial internship so i have to do research internship in any college of India. My third year summer means summer of 2020 so will do research internship in 2020. i can not provide overall experience and stipend.

There are many many events celebrated through out the year by various clubs and committee of daiict. but three of them are major event : (1) i'fest which is a technical fest organized by ieee committee (2) councors which is a sport festival. all the sport teams from other colleges come for competition and to win prizes. (3) the biggest event or festival of daiict is called 'SYNAPSE' which is a cultural festival with some technical events. there are EDM nights, stand up comedies performed by professional comedian.

fee structure is not that much feasible. overall expenditure of one student for one year is 230000 to 260000. Tuition fee is 77000 and hostel fee is 36000 plus electricity. and food cost is not included in hostel fee.

As per my knowledge there is only one scholarship for students who got admission through JOSSA ( Joint Seat Allocation Authority) means through the rank of jee main. Top 5 students get scholarship equal to tuition fee of semester. and this scholarship is continued through out the program if a student get SPI above 8 in semester.

labs are very well organized. Sport department for cricket and football is not that much good(not mush skilled coaches). There is a free gymnastic available for students. All sport tools are provided by college.

I have not opted for hostel. because there no choice. all the B.tech student have to stay in hostel of daiict. hostel environment is good but hostel structure is very bad means not so clean. Wash room are not that much clean. facilities are normal provided by other hostels.

Alumni network with junior students is very helpful for any kind of information. Senior students are very helpful in all matters whether it is matter of study or matter of organizing any event or in placement activities.

I am from gujarat and specifically from gujarati medium background. So my education board is GSEB and hence my admission process was done by ACPC (admission committee for professional courses). I ranked 113 in final merit list for all college of gujarat whose admission process done by ACPC. First of all ACPC issue a pin number to all students who want to take admission through ACPC process. This pin number is a small paper having pin number written inside it.

I think there is some negativity in hiring of professors. college authority see only background of professor and how he/she is doing well in his/her research area. but don't see that how well he or she can deliver knowledge to students. how well he or she has good methods and techniques of teaching. only 30-40% professors of my college are good enough for teaching. There is not that much interaction between students and professor because professor are so full of ago and attitude that all students hesitate to ask question. and they are like all students know English very well and so you should ask question in English. there is not free environment between students and professors (except some professors). The only thing i always don't rank as below average is faculties of daiict.
