Classes are not that much effective but you have a lot time here to do whatever you want. The labs are advanced but faculty here themselves don't know that how to operate various machines and softwares properly.
The courses are followed according to the JUT (jharkhand university of technology). Earlier BIT was following the courses according to the vinoba bhave university (VBU). The faculty members for different Courses are newly adopted from IIT's according to the scheme of central government. Many of branches are going to have a tag of NBA the NBA team is visiting the college for the same
Placement and job opportunities are quite good for IT branches and also for electrical and ece but not in core field (they are also getting job in IT companies only). Apart from these branches metal and mining department have very good in campus placements with highest package of 10 to 15 lpa. The average package of college is 3.5 to 4 lpa and average strike rate is about 50 percent
There are many events organised in the college for students. Like robo war, hackathon, cultural fest, literary fest (like kavi sammelan) etc, foyc (fresher of the year contest ) etc. Other activities are also done here like sports competitions, writing quizes, different activities from clubs are also organised from different clubs.

Hostel fee 5000 per annum. Infrastucture is quite good and every individual candidate of final year have a personal room. But the scenario is not good for girls candidate as they have to share a room among 5 or 6. Overall bit sindri is a very good place to live in.
The alumni network is quite strong and large. BITSA is the official organization which keeps track of every alumni and organizes various programs for alumni in college. Their are different chapters of BITSA in country and globally also like BITSA chapter of JERSY and america, australia etc. Various programs like golden jublie are organised every year
From last year BIT sindri is taking admission of candidates on the basis of their ranking in JEE Main exam. They also have different qualifying marks for different quota. And as it is a state government college therefore they mainly prefer students from Jharkhand state but the 15 percent of seats are reserved for candidates of other state also. Also, Earlier the criteria of admission was slightly different and the admissions were taken on the basis of their ranking in JCECE exam
Faculty members here are not so good here in my opinion, but the best thing here is you have full of your time to utilise it in a way you want. But for the time being new faculties are introduced to the college according the scheme of central government and they are quite good in teaching and have a lot of experience in their fields
The placements of our college are pretty good. We have our own placement cell and quality and quantity both are pretty good. The highest package from our college was 97 lakhs I don't remember it exactly and the average package is 10 to 12 lakhs. It is pretty good. Almost all students get placed except a few.
Most of the people get placed in their final year of course but many students grab internships in the 2nd and 3rd year. Some students get internships in their 1st year. The highest package this year is 90 lakh per annum now.(from computer science) One got 81 lakh. One another got 66 lakh ( from Environmental Engineering) 7 students got placement in Google with a package of 54 lakh More than 24 students got 45 lakh till now. And many students got 35 lakh plus. In petroleum, 10 students got placed in ONGC with a package of 21 lakh. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and many other giants visited for campus placement. Placements are still in progress for this year. I am really happy to see the progress of IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, placements are getting better year after year.
From the 6th semester, a major group of students gets placed. Many Brilliant once even also get placed in the 4th semester. This year we got the highest package of 90 lakhs per annum and an average of 18 lakhs per Annum. Almost 90% of students got placed. I want a good job or I want to be an entrepreneur
Campus placement is very good like other IITs almost 75-80percent of students get placed with the highest packages around 55lac per annum. Almost 100 percent of students from CSE and 95percent of students from ECE get places. Around 75-80 percent of students from our branch also get placed from campus placement and the rest opt for off-campus placement and higher studies.
From the 2nd semester, students are eligible for internships. You require to maintain at least 8 GPAs every semester. More than 80% of students get placement in good companies every year. The highest package of 2021 was 90 lakh per annum of a CSE student.
From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Microsoft, TCS, Goldman Sachs, etc. 80 percent of the students get placed in our college and nearly 15 percent of the students opt for higher studies. I wanted to opt for higher studies after getting placed.
Generally, there are internships in the 5th or 6th semester and many companies provide on-campus placements in the 7th and 8th semester for 4-year B.tech students. The highest offer was around 90 lakhs offered to a computer science student. the percentage is a fair 90%. Over the years the placements in the college have seen gradual growth and thus the opportunities are rising.
Campus placements are very good for circuital branches CSE, IT, ECE, EEE but not so good for non- circuital. From CSE and IT around, 90-95% of students get placed and for ECE and EEE around 70-80 %. For non-circuital it's around 40-50%.
The first year is common for all students and there is no choice. We have 2 semesters and according to that half of students exchange their subjects after 1 sem. The faculty students ratio is also good. Teaching methods are also unique for some members and normal for others.
