Remarks

Our college is the best college in the northern region of our state being in top 10 college of state. Our college and department has supported us in every situation we faced and we have succeeded in those problems.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is well organised curriculum and exam are also best to know the students knowledge what they learnt. There will be internals and externals and also the pre exams to get a better experience of the upcomming exams.

Placement Experience

Yes there are many placements which took place in our time. Many of my classmates hav been placed in Multi national companies. No our college will not provide internships for the students, students themselves have to find internships.

College Events

Our college organises a technical and cultural fest in each semester to make the students take part in such events and upgrade their skills by participating in different event which are technically based.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college has a fee of 71,600 rupees per year except the exam fees. For some students it is expensive and for some it's little but actually for a poor person or a middle class person it's high only.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes some minority people will get the scholarship from the college and the students who got high percentage in the 12 will also get the fee concession offered by the college based upon the criteria fixed for different percentages.

Campus Life

Labs are best part of our college all the equipments are morden, everything works firmly and correctly. There will sports class everyday in which we are trained in which sports we have interest and make sure we became perfect to compete in the state levels.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are the best students of our college, they are making our college proud begin in different MNCs and serving in different countries. They always guide us whatever decision we take to get benefitted and take correct decision.

Admission

I got addmission in Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College by giving state entrance exam named KCET. By acquiring a good rank, going through multiple rounds of selection i got government seat in my college.

Faculty

The college faculty are very qualified and helpful for the students. They always try to make students comfortable in studies so that the students should not take stress of exams. The faculty are very kind and highly educated.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

An honest look at campus

Likes

The university boasts an excellent, massive campus infrastructure with great amenities and highly diverse student crowd provides great cultural exposure
While the engineering batches naturally leans towards more boys (around 1:3 girl to boy ratio)
Availability off dedicated campus mentorship programming and technical club provided a great platform.

Dislikes

The campus administration enforced incredibly strict security and daily restrictions which feel a little overwhelmed
The total no of students in a course like cse is massive. So the competition for the high tier placement is very intense.
If we need any information or some help from the administration they will make it lag and go to that window this window and we will not get the information ww required

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

LPU's REVIEW WITH HONESTY AND CREDIBILITY

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Big campus and beautiful garden and environment
Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

1) I only applies to Guru nanak dev engineering college ludhiana and Lovely professional university Phagwara . I chose Guru anank dev engineering college because of low fee as compared to LPU and also Guru annak dev engineering college is old as compared to LPU so it will have lesser alumni network. 2) No i didnt get rejected i just left that college. 3) Adimission process- simply apply from website of IKGPTU based on jee mains marks and 12th exam. For taking admission in this college you can take admission on the basis of your board exam marks. You can get admission if you have minimum 40% marks in your board exam as well. For taking admission in CSE or IT branch you should have atleast 85% or more marks scored in your board exam. If you are from home state you might get reservation benefit. In this college 85% seats are reserved for home state students and rest 15% for other students as well as for home state.
