The college boasts of fantastic infrastructures, like labs, libraries, in campus Bank ATMs and a lovely playground. A beautiful lake is present beside the campus and during the lecture breaks one can hangout by the lakeside. The college also maintains a balance in gender ratio. It empowers Woman Education and education for all. apart from that annual fests, quarterly workshops and study tours to other colleges and universities will enhance your overall learning experience.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni network is very good in Sarsuna College. Even, during my admission, the seniors were very supportive and helpful. They understood my interest and requirements and accordingly gave me suggestions on the various courses.

Admission

BA (Hons) English is a course that not only improves your English but also prepares you to take that big leap forward towards private as well as government jobs. The college was 9 years old in the education industry when I enrolled. Already it was rapidly growing with its robust infrastructure and imparting quality education. The steps are simple : 1) I had to apply online from www.sarsunacollege.ac.in. 2) After that post submission of the form, a challan was generated which I submitted to ICICI Bank. 3) The form is accepted post receiving payment intimation from Bank. 4) Post declaration of First Merit List, there was no counseling or Interview as such and the admission process completed in a hassle-free manner.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty for Ba (Hons) English has loads of teaching experience and are alumni from prestigious universities like Jadavpur, JNU and St. Xavier's. So, you can expect a quality education here. Also, post-lecture they will help you with your issues in additional classes. One good thing about college is their faculties are easily approachable and you can look up to understand a subject better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum provides a comprehensive retrospective of literature from the Old English period to Modern period, while also including English works by Indian authors to demonstrate the diversity and evolution of English literature over the years. The current curriculum I believe requires more seminars and lectures from guest faculties on contemporary research and topics.

I love to read English and it's easy for me so that's why I choose it. There are a total of 50 students in this course. Our teachers are very helpful and talented and also support us. We have 2 semesters after 6 months in 1 year. Exams are comfortable for the students who study the subject. It is difficult for those who do not study.
