Remarks

Positive- 1. Up to date curriculum 2. Ample of extra curricular activities 3. Sufficient placements 4. Good hostels Negatives- 1. Lacks in infrastructure like drinking water facility 2. Inexperienced facility in certain fields

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is quite up to date with all latest and trending technologies that are required in the industry. Outcome based learning for every course designed with the help of industry experts. University is recognised by Machachutes Institute of Technology. Exam structure for a semester for each course- 2 internal exams and 1 course project- 50% of grade 1 end sem exam- 50% of grade.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement cell of college ensures placements almost all the students. During my final year more than 70% from computer science branch got placed in companies with packages ranging from 3 to 11 LPA (In campus). College does not provide placement to students. Although opportunities are provided by start ups around college and by companies that come to college for hiring.

College Events

4

Every even semester has a lot of curtural cum technical events like pliedies, sparsh, phagocytosis, etc. Pliedies is the main event of the college (3 day event) where a lot of students from different colleges around the state take part. Technical events part in the morning while curtural events take part during the evening's. Workshops and talks happen during this event also. Out of station participants are provided with accomodation in college hostels. A lot many codethons and hackathons are organised around the entire year where companies like Samsung and InsZoom hire students from.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is feasible for students that acquire seat through state exam (KCET and COMEDDK). Although management seats are expensive and are dependent on the branch in which admission is required.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students who are below poverty line and/or from a backward class are eligible for a student scholarship by the government and also eligible for part payment of fees by the college. Other than this I am not aware of any loan/scholarship facilities provided by college.

Campus Life

3

Ample opportunities are provided for sports in the college. Lot of sports including kho-kho, basketball, footsal, throwball, volleyball, badminton, TT, cricket, football, kabaddi, etc have yearly competitions along with teams that play for the college. Labs are provided by each department for experimentation and practical learning. IT students get a lot of opportunities for hackathons and codethons where students from around the state participate.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni of the college have an yearly meet where students of the college are free to interact with them during these sessions. Many alumnies are called to the college to give talks and speeches. Alumni network is maintained well in my opinion.

Admission

1. Take the KCET examination after class 12 2. Depending on the ranking we get to choose among multiple colleges in the state 3. Once we choose a college (this is an online process) we need to wait for confirmation from college and meanwhile there is a document verification process 4. After confirmation, we need to go the college and carry out the admission process which includes fee payment, document submission, student registration, ID card making, hostel admission.

Faculty

3.5

Half of the facutly is not well trained and not very professional with just adequate knowledge. Other half of the faculty (those at higher positions like associate professor and professors) is quite well experienced, professional and knowledgeable.

S-VYASA Deemed-to-be University School of Advanced Studies Collaborating with NIAT, Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the NIAT curriculum around four out of five. In my opinion, it is good that the curriculum is not only based on theoretical studies. The inclusion of coding, projects, assignments, and practical knowledge is quite engaging for the students, as they can apply the acquired information in practice. Additionally, I find the curriculum up to date compared to the standard Btech syllabus, which mainly focuses on theoretical background. However the curriculum could have fewer assignments, as some of them are rather time consuming and require additional study to achieve a better understanding of a particular subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally, I was interested in ECE course since I liked working around chips and was intrigued by how they worked, which is what led me to choosing this course. The curriculum is not the best for real-world applications since the syllabus is pretty outdated. The teaching does involve smart boards and can be visual as well, but it can be utilized better by the professors. A semester lasts for around 5 months, with the last month only involving SEE (Semester End Examinations) and the first four months consisting of 2 CIE tests in the 2nd and 4th months. It also involves practical examinations.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs

Placement Experience:

The on-campus usually starts in 6th Semester. A company called MathCo was the first company it came for the role of analyst. Around 5-7 people got selected. The average package would be usually around 4-4.5 LPA, but highest package was 6.25 from PlanetSpark for role of Sales. The percentage is nearly to 10-12%. After degree, get a job and work for atleast 2 years for learning current trends is my basic thought as of now.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course I adopted since I couldn't do my neet. In 2nd year I thought of taking CSE . I GOT MANY SEATS IN OTHER COLLEGES FOR OTHER COURCES. But I wanted to adopt only CSE based . I mean social or economical or design thinking and scientific foundation.. these courses are of no use while learning engineering so this might be the drawback . Exams are conducted very strictly in our clg and I appreciate that !
