Remarks

The infrastructure of the college must be improved and must take attention on a decorative infrastructure also.The Institute has an elite past but present is not fascinating.The most positive think of institute is it's fee.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure of the stream that I have chosen is quite good but there must be some improvement that the course become more and more practical oriented.The exam and Labs leaves me with a quite chilled day.

Placement Experience

Currently I am in second year so doesn't have so much descripted knowledge about this but what I know is as.- Placement records are currently having not so good figure as have earlier and Internship is also provided in third year of the course.

College Events

A lot of events are celebrated in our colleges by different clubs individually and all togather also organized by the institute as ALUMNI MEET, SHARDOTSAV,SANDHAAN, SPARDHA, RAP CONTEST,MUSIC CONTEST, DANCE CONTEST, PAINTING CONTEST.Almost all student of the college visits at these celebrations.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite affordable to a middle class family also.The annual academic fee is about 15000 only.And the fee is compensated for category students like Scheduled Cast Economic Weaker Sections (EWS) etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

An N.G.O is run by the college faculty and students togather named as PRAYAAS INDIA.This organization provide free education to the schooling students and arranges blood donation camps also.The Alumni association also gives funding to the Incubation Centre of the institute.

Campus Life

The gender ratio is quite not so high as like other engineering colleges.But here cultural society of the college is greatly effected by the CULTURE OF JHARKHAND.There is a wide range of diversity in students although most of them belongs to JHARKHAND

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni network of the college is greatly helpful.It regularly funds the college.In the Alumni meet that takes place every year in the college a lot of respected Aluminis arrives the college and gives a wide interaction to final year students and also for students of other years.

Admission

The college is only one fully government engineering college in Jharkhand state and fee is also minimum.That is why I choosed this college over other college options I had.The admission process is now changed and became through JEE marks.

The faculties are well qualified in their respective domains that they are assigned to teach but some faculties must be more practical explanations with wide range of examples.The faculties have good qualification background for their domains.

Campus location is good but there is shortage of shops.
Professor are good and supportive and you can keep bike sk questions whenever you needed.

Dislikes

Mess food is not so good and if you taking hostel it is compulsory to take mess
Transpotation facility is not so good and you

Placement Experience:

From third semester students are allowed for internship and about the placement is about 5 to 6 lpa .Many students here are preparing for government exam like gate ,ies isro ,barc etc. And if you are not satisfied by placement from campus you can try off campus.

At the starting phase of college , we have a beautiful campus (which is not ours actually , its on rent ) loacted at Namkum, Ranchi. known as JUT campus, but after that things are not good.
Some what I liked the sports culture, but we don't have any sports Club yet.

Dislikes

Placements(actually there are students who are the coordinators for the placement group , there is no any particular advisor or any TPO head is there earlier...now there is one TPO coordinator but things are becoming worst there.
No grounds for any sports, we don't have badminton court indoors, so we have to wait for wind to settle before we can play outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my branch is Electronics and communication engineering but my major interest lies in development area , i have gained all the skills in my college by my own taking some guidance from the seniors as they are very helpful and supporting. Improvements in course curriculum could be like they have to basically add one more course or any training program to help students for making skills and teaching them for their placements.(apart of the course , i am saying not because i am from ECE department , its common from any branch student)

Likes

I like their rules and regulation of college.
I like the annual sports, event, and cultural program.
Regular classes, labs, and time to time internal exams

Dislikes

Thing that I don't like is hostal cleaning, mesh food.
I think there is more rules and regulation for senior boys hostels.
From senior boys hostel they pass some comment to the girls

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the proper mindset from the class I chose to study btech. The areas for improvement in the course curriculum are more labs to be conducted proper smart classes to be held.

the return to investment in this college is very fair.
the infrastructure in this college is very good and still developing rapidly .
the fee is very affordable and the surrounding market is also cheap.

Dislikes

the reservation is very high and sc & st community gets so much advantage .
the college is located at outskirts of main city Dhanbad .
there is some sort of ragging culture which is also present here. Talking about the girls to boys ratio it is 25 to 75.

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of BIT Sindri is quite impressive because the core branch placement is too good . it offers around 90% placement to branch like mechanial , electrical , mining , metal. technical branch placement is also improving yearly.

Likes

Infrastructure of the University is good enough and also going on for new building
Labs and machineries are updated and in good condition.
Non teaching staffs are helpful and genuine.

Dislikes

Administration make fake promises and discontinue.
Some staffs are egoistic don't think of any one.
Canteen food prices are not affordable. It is too expensive for middle class students.

Good university for those who want degree only not job as they will say 100 percent placement but never make their promises and yes they will also send you in depression so be strong and believe in your self.

the greenery of college campus is very nice
the environment of the college is very good
college library staffs are very well behaved

the faculty is not up to the mark , u will not be satisfied by their teaching
student intake is very very less so you will experience less competition
the college campus is beautiful yet very small

Placement Experience:

yes campus placement is offered . the average package is about 7 to 8 lakhs in C.S.E , the placement rate is about 90% for which above 7.5 CGPA is required . The placement rate for E.C.E and E.E.E are also decent .

Experience of an undergrad

Likes

college have great environment good facilities needed as per requirements ,college also have good spacious hostels and we can say better food comparing to what i heard from friends of different colleges ,the evening time is soothing and relaxing
a great senior junior interaction culture and memorable friendships letting you forget the world outside the campus, every festivals are celebrated with joy and fun ,from leaving a family to moving to another one you would love.
some of lectures are quite boring but some will amaze you with visionary thoughts ,every faculty will guide you if they see you lagging behind the course ,some extra sessions are also conducted, introducing new fields to think out of the box

Dislikes

things which i wish might get some improvements are sports facilities big grounds for sports activities students encouragement towards co-curricular activitiy, co-curricular activities get more support to come out with glorious and imagining skills.
fests do contain fun but due to time constraints before fests planning of amazing activities becomes difficult thus leading same things going on repeating, absence of good team leaders leading activities plays major role in activity failure and bored
night out time is a small problem, the area close to college is developing hence not having nearby much places for fun and chillouts spending your free time relaxing.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is average as during 2023-24 it was recession period all over the colleges are facing placements lags but still college students managed to achieve 22 lakhs+ off campus as well as 16 lakhs on campus placement.The college reached his highest placement of 51 lakh during 2023 ,the average package is 5-6 lakh and the placements percentage are 85 percent for cse students,the students completing 7th semester are eligible for on campus placement drive as well as off campus,some of the prominent companies visited are Microsoft, cognizant, samsung, byjus,infosys and 50 more.I will prepare for gate and after that i will try to get on and off campus placements which i will find better accept the offer.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

I could have gotten admitted in NIFFT Ranchi and by the 2k24 cut offs I could have gotten BIT mesra Chemical alonwith a plethora of colleges on AKTU or MPDTE counclling.I also qualifies CUET with a decent rank enough to secure a college in the DU south campus. The primary reason I chose this college was the Return on investment.Even withot any fees waiver the entire fee here is close to 4 lakhs for a span of 4 years which is very low compared to the average package of the college.Als the branch Mechanical has a decent scope in the GATE exams. First of all this college is only for the students of Jharkhand.If you wanna get admitted here and belong to the general category you need a percentile from 87 to 94.5.If you are from other categores the cutoff goes even lower.The admission process is quite simple.You fill a form which will ask you for a security deposit of 5000 on the jcece website.After this you will be eleigibke to do choice filling.You will be alloted a branch based of your rank and choice.Forgetting admission you will have to vsit the college annd submit all your documents.You can upgrade your branch in the later rounds.There are 3 rounds and 2 special rounds....Read More

i chose this college over the other because it was convinient for me to travel to this coolege it is near my home town. not only this the college annual expense is very less as compared to different colleges. this is also a government college basically a state government college . i did not get any rejection to the colleges i applied for but this college i thought is best for me. To get admission in BIT Sindri the jee mains result is important. Based on jee mains a Jharkhand based councelling is done where students who applied must be a resident of jharkhand get a common merit list rank and based on that rank one gets admission in different colleges that comes under the jharkhand state . So my college comes under jharkhand government which is following jee mains percentile /ranks for admission. For general category students Scoring above 95 percentile gives them opportunity to have cse branch and gradually decreases for other branches.
