Review of NIEPMD college

First of all, this is the only college in India for multiple disabilities.Second of all, it is Asias first college for people with multiple disabilities.I choose this college as it's a national institute and comes under the department of social justice and welfare, there is always recognitiin for national institutes, i got other colleges but I opted for this because 1) due to lower fees 2) central govt institute 3)Deals with Multiple Disabilities. For getting in this college we have to give CET held by nild at that time. There were only three colleges offering the courses (Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics) that time NILD in Kolkata, SVNIRTAR in Cuttack, NIEPMD in Chennai. Now there are five institute offering courses. My common rank was 366 in General Category at that time. I was called for counselling. Counselling letter was recieved by me by speed post. My counselling day was on third day, I was interested in SVNIRTAR as it is the oldest and famous insititute. My first preference was Bachelor of Physiotherapy in SVNIRTAR. But my hopes got broken when i saw that all seat have been filled for the general category in both NILD , SVNIRTAR and 2 seats were remaining in NIEPMD. I had not imagined that.Even i left hope that I will get the admission. But Miracle or something else I got the seat and as it is national institute everyone was happy > Comparing NIEPMD, other institutes were not that good. NILD infrastructure is very old just like a govt hospital and too situtated inside a road, Plus hostel were not provided immediately. >SVNIRTAR was very far from the main city and same govt. hospital feels >We have to be 12th pass with 50% aggregate in (Physics, Chemistry and Biology )Subject > Date of birth should be more than 17 and less than 27 at that time >Mostly students prefer BPT rather BOT...Read More

-I got confirmed admission in niepmd only and i choosed this college because this is asia only college which is working for multiple disabilities in college more than 25 courses are running - No , i preffered to be in this same college only - we have to prepare for CET exam in that 5 colleges will be there we have to choose among them and if seat will be available or alloted to us then we have to go to the respective colleges submit our documents and we have to fill admissions form then they will give us a joining date then we have to join college - eligibility is 12th pass with science and math Only exam for admission is CET but in next two year this course will come under NEET...Read More
