Positives are great scenery as college infrastructure was literally on outscorts of the city so we got beautiful nature to look at.Also whatever few fest days we got were awsome.Negatives was travelling time, strict timetable strange dresscodes.
The course is designed by Mumbai University in which out of 4 years and 8 semesters 1st year and final year exams comes under Mumbai University and 2nd and 3rd year exam comes under college. Also there are 2 unit test of 20 marks and 1 internal exam consisting of practical examination and Viva.
Placements were for most part non Technical field and those from technical field were great companies with good packages. The non technical companies and post were great as not everyone in our class was coding enthusiastic.
Every year there is a cultural fest called hitaishi.Along with monthly csi events related to computers. Also there was sports week for which we didn't used to get time to practice as studies are more important for the faculty and the used to tell us to do practice after all the lectures are done which was after 4 30 pm.
Every year has its own fees. For 1st year about 80,000rs for 2nd year 72,000rs for 3rd year 75,000rs for 4th year 68,000rs these structure was for open category student.YES FEES ARE DIFFERENT FOR DIFFERENT CATEGORY STUDENTS ITS NOT college FAULT THATS HOW OUR GOVERNMENT WORK.
AS A OPEN CATEGORY STUDENT I WAS NOT ELIGIBLE TO GET ANY KIND OF SCHOLARSHIP AS THEY ARE PROVIDED TO LOW CAST STUDENT ONLY.But they are good way to lessen the burden from the parents as about 4,00,000 plus rs are to be invested in Engineering and not everyone can afford it
Labs were not good at the start but after some time they were upgraded new if equipment were added all the computers were upgraded. But sports was a whole different story. There was literally no time for sports allocated in official timetable talk about sportsmanship.
There were no hostels so what should I write about. The college is located in Western line station virar in palghar district maharashtra. Most of us students travelled everyday. The college is about 8 kms from the virar station.there are multiple buses available from VVMC and 6 seaters auto.NO TRANSPORTATION FROM college.
Yes like me they help to students who are in need far more greater than college itself. The network is not that strong but it does the job very well.Senior students help by providing notes and importants in a subject
On the basis of CET score I got admission in the college. We had to give a list of colleges that we desired to learn in and on the basis of the marks got in CET exam we got the college. There were three rounds from which I got admission in viva Institute of technology in 3rd round.
Faculty was mostly knowledgeable. But teaching skills of all the faculty was not UpTo the par.As well as their support was for research based projects which is a good thing.Their support for final year projects was good enough but their focus on documentation was so great that actual project gas getting less focus of students.
Placement is very if compared to other colleges in the same range. You become eligible from 3rd year for placement. A large numbers of companies visit and around 90 percent of students are placed with an average package around 2-3 lakhs and highest around 20 lakhs.
This college has very good placements every year. During your third year, in between the fifth or sixth semester, you are eligible for placements. The placement can range from 2 Lakh and can go up to more than 10 Lakh per annum. 32 Lakh is the highest ever offer made. To date in this college, which is highest in whole Pune city by any college.
PCCOE has one of the highest campus placements in Maharashtra and I can proudly say that. Students in Third Year 6th Sem onwards become eligible for the placements. Companies that visit our campus include Tata Motors, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys, IBM, Adobe, Goldman Sachs, Bentley, Samsung, Accenture, Amdocs, Sony, KPIT, Godrej and Boyce, SAE, Mahindra, MindTree, and many more. The highest package offered was 32 LPA by SAE India for an Automobile engineer profile. The highest for Software engineer is 12 LPA and the average is 5 LPA. The overall average package is 4 LPA for all profiles. Around 85% of students get placed every year. I plan to go for placement and a job in Embedded systems after the completion of my degree.
Placements were often in my college. Every week there used to be some or other company coming and we were well prepared for that through our Placement team. The percentage of students passing was upto 95
the placement cell by college organizes placement for students in this college .placement takes place by an interview process. companies such as Wipro, reliance, etc come here for students with their best offers.
The Factors like good teaching Staff, high level placement, Other Co - curricular activities, Special Attention to Sports, Tech Festivals Programs, NSS Champs, Annual Day, Industrial Visits
A single-offer-letter-per-student policy is very strictly followed which means that once a student is selected by a company he/she is not allowed to appear for any other company interviews scheduled through the college. Each student need to submit the percentage of marks and contact details in VI Semester, If they fail in submitting /updating the mark list by the end of the VI semester they will not be permitted to attend the interviews starting from VII semester onwards.
I got admission to the institute through the merit list and the admission process is common for all the students. I choose this institute because they provide space for each student for learning. Not only for learning but also for extracurricular activities institute give proper guidance to students.
Overall, college is good though the scene is different department wise, I think it needs to improve on the placements.
There are no bad remarks as such. Only Attendance is a issue. 75% is must.
Office faculty are not worked Some office faculty are not interested to work
