Probably the most chill College where you can enjoy without being anxious about your future as you know about the reputation and the placement opportunities which are offered by the companies. We also see many excellent examples of achievers as well.
Course Curriculum Overview
Unfortunately, the 2021 batch is the last batch with the old curriculum. 2022 onwards, the curriculum has been updated. But in both the scenarios, the College is very chill except if you're in the electrical department.
Placement Experience
The College provides a great platform for the trending branches like CSE ECE, but being in a core engineering branch, the opportunities are very low. No, the core branches do not get internship opportunities.
College Events
Cultural fest : (Engifest) : the biggest fest of North India, we have a footfall of 100000 people generally and this year i believe it exceeded 150000 easily We also have a literary fest, a tech fest, a management fest as well as a sports fest
Fee Structure And Facilities
The engineering courses are generally pretty expensive and being a government College, it's fees is pretty feasible for an engineering institute. The non delhites, who have only 15 percent seats, can opt for hostels which are cheap and cost only 18000 annually
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a fee waiver offered to the students belonging to low income families. Other than that we have scholarships for all the disadvantaged classes of students. The College also provides for university internship to earn some money.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is horrible, it's around 1:20, something must be done about it. There are regular workshops on basically everything a student might need. Most of the students here are from north india but you do see people from all parts of the world
Hostel Facilities
18000 for the hostel rooms per year but the infrastructure sucks so it's worth it. Food of the mess is pretty good. You're not allowed to use motor vehicles and being a huge campus, this rule sucks but the low cost makes it okay.
Alumni/Alumna
Being a very old College of sometime around the 1950s, the College has a huge alumni network with some notable names like shushant singh rajput, and the developer of paytm. Yes these alumni are very helpful.
Admission
One can get admission in this College based on his performance in joint entrance examination for engineering (JEE-Mains), some other criteria like the cutoff marks in boards are also to be taken care of.
Faculty
All the teachers have the proper qualifications as needed and there is a wide spectrum of them, some profs are as old as 60years old and at the same time we have some 30 years profs as well. All the teachers are very chill
