Remarks
There is a very good study-activity balance and we are given loads of time to pursue whatever we want. The subjects are flexible and students have an option to study whatever the student wants to. There are alot of activities always going on.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of Computer Science and Engineering takes good care of the basics with emphasis on subjects like Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating System Concepts, Database Management Systems and Computer Networks.
Placement Experience
Placements and internships are among the best in the country. Companies like Google, Microsoft, SAP, Uber, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and the likes are a regular recruiters. 2-month summer internship is also offered with the highest stipend given by companies like DE Shaw, Arcesium and Morgan Stanley.
College Events
There are many fests held during the even semester - The literally and movie festival called Yuvaan, the technical festival called Invictus, the cultural festival called Engifest and the sports meet called Aahvaan.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is collected annually. The fees isn't very high. The batch of 2020 has paid an average fees of ?1. 5L per annum which started with around 1. 2L in the first year and was gradually raised to 1. 66L in the final year.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not much aware of the scholarships or loans given by our university. However, there are many scholarships available for those who cannot pay for their education and come from a not so privileged background.
Campus Life
We have a massive sports complex with tennis, basketball and football grounds. There is an indoor complex for badminton and table tennis which is very nice. All the labs in the university are up to date. There are a lot of societies too.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are decent, not very good. The fees is ?18K per annum + ?10K per semester for mess. Sharing hostels are given during the first two years whereas the prefinal and final year male students mostly get a single room.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of the university is very very strong. The university started in 1941, hence we have alumni almost everywhere. The alumni help a lot while looking for placements and further studies.
Admission
The admission is purely on the basis of your rank in JEE Main. The process is conducted under JAC Delhi every year. Document verification is done post admission in any one of the institutes that are a part of the counseling.
Faculty
The faculty is great. You might not get along with all of the teachers but the unit is good overall. Most of the teachers are Assistant Professors with a couple of Associate Professors. There is one Head of Department per department.
