Remarks

Very good college and obvious choice if you have enough marks in CET. The only precaution you should take is while selecting your department as department changing after the first year is not that easy. There are not many cons if any.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

As it is autonomous, the exam structure keeps changing. It is very chilled as compared to other non-autonomous colleges. Passing the semesters is very easy. The college keeps experimenting so I cannot say anything definitively.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are very good and the range of packages is 3 lakh to 20 lakh per annum. Colleges do provide internship but does not offer a stipend. College helps every student a lot for being placed. Most of the companies offered between 3 to 6 lakh per annum.

College Events

4

There are many cultural festivals. Each year there are 3 to 4 cultural festivals. Firat is a competion between departments. The second is for enjoyment for vit only. The third is an inter-college festival. The bands are also good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

You have to pay before each semester but it is not very cheap. Without any concession, It can go up to 4 lakhs per year. The fees can change at any time so I cannot promise anything. This is without a hostel.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarship programs in the college. Some of them are from the government. Others are from private institutions and trust. Depending upon different criteria people get from 20 to 70 percent approx scholarship on college fees.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio is 3 to 1 male to female. There are many workshops. Many clubs are there. From accounting, car racing, robotics, cultural, personality development to other interest groups. There are many foreign national students also.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni network is very strong as people take pride in being vit alumnus. Former students come for guidance in career choices and entrepreneurship. Many companies that come to campus drive also have alumni sometimes.

Admission

I got admission through CET. I selected VIT for campus placements and for being autonomous. You have to put your preferences and according to your marks, you will get admission. Getting admission is very easy.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is from a very good background. Many of them are PhDs. They know what they are teaching. Everyone is available for any kind of guidance. Professors stick around because they are paid well. But some professors are weak in some subjects, so you should avoid them while selecting electives after asking seniors.
