Best for Research and Pure Sciences

The college is really good to study pure basic sciences, the only negative feedback is regarding the job opportunities and placements not provided after M. Sc. Also infrastructure has to be updated accordingly with proper funding.

Course Curriculum is one of the best in all indian universities. The department has very rich research history. It has the oldest Cyclotron facility. Top 20 MSc students are selected for the MSc research project in 2nd year. Many students qualify the NET exam for doing PhD in Physics, as well as for the assistant professor in physics. The exam structure is Semester.

Placement and Job opportunities are not as par expectations. The department does not invite many companies for the placement of students. But after Clearing NET exam and doing PHD people get very decent jobs. Our college does not provide internship experience.

Freshers and Fairwell Party, All intra as well as Intra Department Sports competition, Department Annual function is celebrated Vortex-2020 with all kind of academic, cultural and fun activities. Some band performance, fashion shows are organised with participation of around 1000 students.

The fees structure is very feasible. middle class family person can easily afford it without much worries. The fees is paid online per semester. Also there is examination fees in addition to semester fees.

There are no scholarships/loan facilities offered. Although there are some state level scholarships available from Indian Government to fund expenses. Also there is new scheme started by University for Work while you study to earn part time.

There is a Physics Association for all extracurricular activities in department. This include President, Vice President, Academic committee, cultural committee, sports committee and hospitality committee. These committee take care of all the extracurricular actives.

Yes the alumni network of department is very strong. The seniors are always helpful to junior students guiding them about all the career opportunities, Entrance exams preparation, all other opportunities.

Yes, Admission in M. Sc. Course is based upon PG-CET exam conducted every year in month of june. 50% marks will be considered of entrance exams and other 50% will be of Graduation. After this the combined merit list will be prepared.

All the faculties are very well qualified, soft spoken and helping. All the faculties have done their Doctoral degrees and Post Doctoral degrees from abroad. They have many national and international research projects. Some of the faculties of High Energy Physics are involved with the Collaboration with CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.
