Entrance Preview
I took Panjab university test for entrance in law. I got 16 rank and got admission here. I opted for this university as it is one of the oldest , beautiful and best universities of India.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course work is good enough. We are provided with case laws to prepare n understand. We also have presentations and report writing on various subjects related to law. So all in all I can say the course curriculum is good in our university. It provides ample opportunities for research in the subject. If we Are able to understand the very concepts then its not so difficult to go for research in one's field.
Internships Opportunities
No. They are no internships availabile here. But as ours is a professional course. We will be able to start our practice just after completing the degree course work and get a degree in hand. Obviously after getting license for the same. So as I have never been able to go for any internship so far I can not comment on this that how is my general experience about it.
Placement Experience
Placement cell is there but not very active. As I am in the first year only till now so I don't have much exposure regarding placement cell activities. But I have come to know through mouths of various students as well as faculty that there is a wide scope of jobs and other opportunities related to the subject law.
College Events
Different youth festivals , moot court competitions , seminars and conferences , yoga promotion programs , sports tournaments etc. And many other activities such as farewell parties and fresher's party. On festivals we have celebrations in our hostels with full enthusiasm and we have a lot of fun here.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible as its a government aided university. The fees are subsidies as education provided leads to positive externalities so the government supports education. The university gets grants from the governments of states of Punjab as well as Haryana. There are many students who can not afford to pay even the nominal fees but are bright students.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I have not availed any loan or scholarship till date. So I don't have much knowledge about it. But yes there are various scholarships being offered by the university.
Campus Life
There are students from different parts of India as well as abroad. We live n enjoy together with the spirit of unity in diversity. We may have different religious beliefs but we all are humans. And this spirit is common in our campus. We celebrate all the festivals together.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students are very helpful And we also have an active alumni network and there are many times when the alumni students are called up to interact with the new students and seniors guide juniors in different things related to studies as well as a comfortable stay in hostel.
Faculty
The faculty is really good. They are well qualified and experienced. Some teachers have experience of teaching law from last 25 yrs. They are non biased in their conduct behaviour and evaluation of students.The course work is good enough. We are provided with case laws to prepare n understand. We also have presentations and report writing on various subjects related to law.
